Position Overview
The Sourcing Manager for Capacity Assurance will partner with the Americas Sourcing Lead to execute on regional strategic partnerships and secure short-term and long-term capacity through active sourcing and validation of vendors performance and capability for all Tiers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Execute regional strategies allocation that meets business needs and financial goals · Closely review the capacity plan & production schedule with the sourcing team to optimize capacity and utilize available vendors · Work closely with the sourcing team to layout the short-term & long-term capacity growth plans for all brands & products, and to secure an effective sourcing flow · Identify and mitigate risks and propose solutions/alternative; alert management on high-risk areas, which may impact on production and future business · Develop plans and action items to secure required capacity by travelling across the region to evaluate existing the capability of vendors and explore new vendors · Develop and manage a pipeline of potential new vendors and keep them ready for times of need · Handle onboarding & supplier exiting activities in VMS; evaluate suppliers' performance & drive continuous development of the vendor base · Drive regional capacity, supplier management, methods & systems projects; contribute to methods & tools improvement by cooperating with relevant stakeholders · Be responsible for maintaining, standardizing, and managing the process and vendor database in VMS · Be responsible for maintaining capacity offered by factories is correct and up-to-date in O9 · Work closely with suppliers/factories/subcontractors for their sustainability and Global Citizenship performance and ensure they understand and meet RL standards · Responsible for scorecard preparation and SES meetings, work closely with supporting teams (e.g. QA, 3D digital, Manufacturing Excellence, Expansion, Global Citizenship and sustainability) and ensure suppliers/factories/subcontractors are meet RL standards · Manage the key stakeholders across different teams and counterparts to drive changes and results · Collaborate with multiple stakeholders by analyzing vendor performance of the defined criteria · Stay close to market information, conduct research regularly and share with the teams on the market conditions · Partner with Lead to identify and mitigate risks and propose solutions/alternatives. Alert leaders on high-risk areas, which may impact current production and future business, and develop contingency plans with respect to schedule integrity
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Related professional experience preferred · Industry experience Preferred (production and sourcing environment a plus) · Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to build effective relationship and influence key partners with all levels · Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership · Good project management skills and ability to drive changes and improvements · Analytical thinker and data literacy; meticulous and with strong follow up skills, able to work under tight timeline · Excellent communication and presentation skills, assertive and organized · Demonstrates a "can-do" approach in being proactive with work assignments · Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Power Point, Excel and Visio, and/or other relevant analytical tools · Good command of written and spoken English, Spanish helpful but required. #LI-CE1
