Associate Designer - ATM Anthony Thomas Melillo

ATM-Anthony Thomas Melillo is seeking a motivated team player to support the design and development process of 6 seasonal collections. The ideal candidate is passionate about the brand, possesses a high taste level, positive attitude and focused mindset. This person is efficient, organized and takes direction well.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Produce accurate flat sketches and complete Design Packages that clearly propose proportion, detail, fit, color/treatment/print placements and design intention
• Participate in seasonal trend research
• Conduct stitch research and create stitch layouts for knitwear
• Source prints, fabrics and trims
• Create and update Tech Packs, BOM’s, Digital Boards throughout the development process; comment on construction details
• Organization and maintenance of archive binders
• Ensure accuracy and timely execution of tasks
• Provides assistance at photoshoots as needed

Requirements & Skills:

• Required portfolio and Illustrator flats; examples of work
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design
• 2+ years of true design experience in Fashion contemporary brand
• Highly Experienced with Adobe Suite
• Ability to create detailed sketches in Illustrator, detail drawings, spec garments, create artworks
• Comprehensive understanding of specs, fit and construction, Experience with measuring garments
• Possesses knowledge in cut & sew, woven & knitwear design
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, possessing excellent time management skills
• Acute attention to detail. Must be very organized and diligent
• Quick learner, takes direction well and understands urgency
