The core purpose of the role is to support the development of research and insights to help inform Burberry's strategic business plan and key growth projects, and to perform analysis that supports their implementation. This role will act as junior internal strategy consultant to the business and will support work across all functions to ensure timely and effective development and delivery of Burberry's strategy. As a Strategy Analyst, you will run a variety of analysis of internal and external strategic factors, environmental influences, market factors, demand, and capability & capacity assessments through analysis of data.


  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the definition of Burberry's strategy including:
    • Market and competitor environment
    • Consumer insight and market data
    • Research benchmarks
    • Burberry performance analysis (including customer, operating and financial KPIs)
    • Scenario planning
    • Strategic plan that reflects capital & resource allocation
    • Risk management considerations
  • Support with analysis for project management and implementation of growth projects, such as:
    • Operational and functional operating plans that enable delivery of the strategy
    • Cross-functional strategic projects
    • Board papers
  • Produce ad hoc thematic research and analysis appropriate to corporate needs
  • Prepare for meetings and conferences as required


  • Masters Degree
  • 1-3 years professional experience within a top-tier consulting organisation, investment bank or a business similar to Burberry
  • Luxury retail experience or similar an advantage
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of the organisation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced Power Point skills
  • Strong financial background
  • Cultural sensitivity and global outlook
  • Work ethic and teamwork
  • Agility and confidence
