JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with buying assistant to oversee total product life cycle and be responsible for product buys, style selection, quantity decision, distribution, stock management, replenishment order
  • Work with allocator in season to align on weekly replenishment targets, store-to-store transfers, and RTVs to maximize sales and limit inventory risk
  • Support manager in market to identify key style rankings, store clustering strategy and depth investments by style and present buying strategy to senior management
  • Providing feedback on products, consumer trends to HQ, maintain smooth communication channel with NY RTW team
  • Maintain market awareness through store visits, competitor study and product / pricing analysis
  • Prepare reports including sales, delivery, stock allocation and special orders
  • Prepare product training materials and trend reports
  • Provide support to ad hoc projects within the Merchandising Team
  • Close communication and relationship with stores to understand their need and market trend


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a merchandising or buying, with at least 1 yr. experience on RTW segment
  • Team management skill is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and reporting skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in luxury retail is preferred
  • Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
