Job Title: Global Merchandising Assistant, Women's Footwear

Primary Purpose: The Assistant will be a key team member of Women's Footwear Merchandising team, supporting the continued growth of Coach's Women's Footwear business.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Owning System Management, Edits, Processes
    • Input and manage sku and style details into ECVision & VAT system
    • Create and manage full sku line list in excel, to guide buyers on global point of view at market
    • Support misc. sample needs and management for meetings, showroom setup and presentation prep
  • Manage assortment tools & Market Prep Documents
    • Own all aspects of Footwear edit/presentation prep for all merchandising documents
    • Partner with bags merchant to ensure deck satisfies team direction.
    • Spearhead more conceptual and directional ideas to improve processes and documents
    • Key point person for FTW business knowledge and sku detail for our cross functional teams
    • Use product and sales data knowledge to effectively make assortment decisions
    • Responsible for compiling, seeking, and analyzing all relevant FTW information for given time period to ensure alignment to larger corporate strategies.
    • Create various Powerpoint decks and boards to be used by teams for milestone meetings
    • Communicate all post presentation assortment updates to cross functional teams
  • Analyze and Present Assortment and Weekly Sales Analysis
    • Analyze sales performance for FTW line on various time periods
    • Identify market nuances and opportunities through buy and sales analysis
    • Use inventory and buy reports to create buy recaps and identify opportunities
    • Leverage planning reports to track long term business trends & present to team
    • Support team in preparation for key deliverables using analysis skills
  • Market Research
    • Research competition and broader industry (stores, runways, news, trend reports) in order to better understand the larger Footwear market and keep team abreast of trends.
    • Use market findings to contribute to creation of line plan and business strategy
    • Suggest assortment opportunities and new ideas for the Gen Z customer
  • Organization and Team
    • Partner closely with Manager and Assistant on team
    • Create strong partnerships with internal cross-functional teams including merchandising peers, internal market buyers, design teams, product development, visual merchandising, global merchandise planning, marketing, and creative groups.

  • Support team in all systemic work such as line plan creation, price changes, assortment updates, etc.
  • Support team in owning sample management process, including partnering with Visual Merchandising, Business Units, Creative, and other Merchandising teams on sample sharing.
  • Shop the market to stay abreast of trends. Compile competitive shopping analysis and present relevant conclusions.
  • Attend touch bases with cross functional partners (i.e., Design, Planning, Product Development, Visual Merchandising, etc.) to develop strong understanding of product from concept to in-store execution.
