Role Overview

Another Tomorrow is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Sustainability to uphold and drive forward our ambitious social and environmental standards and impact goals. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the entire leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the company’s supply chain, traceability, sustainable sourcing, circularity, philanthropic and advocacy programs. Bringing a wealth of knowledge of the current sustainability landscape specifically related to the fashion industry, the ideal candidate will be a collaborative and enthusiastic ambassador, capable of leading by example internally while also representing the brand externally.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll work cross-functionally to lead our existing sustainability, advocacy, and philanthropic strategy, executing on the day-to-day initiatives that underpin our operations and impact goals
  • You’ll develop external relationships and partnerships to keep AT on the cutting edge of innovation, policy developments, research and the industry landscape in order to identify opportunities for supply chain, business models and advocacy
  • As needed, you’ll research, recommend, and update or develop new policies and practices that support our impact goals
  • You will work hand-in-hand with the Production and Design teams to identify sustainable sourcing materials, regularly managing and updating the overarching material matrix
  • You will own the vetting and provenance process for all supply chain partners from pre-vetting to final PO 
  • You’ll lead the research and vetting process for all new partnerships, including new sourcing opportunities, marketing partnerships, or marketplace vendors; as needed updating or designing new vetting criteria and frameworks for new product categories
  • Working closely with the Logistics and Operations Manager, you’ll ensure complete and accurate traceability for all products, as necessary, participating in cross-functional initiatives surrounding   traceability and circularity 
  • You will partner with the Marketing team to develop accurate and impactful partnerships, campaigns, and communications that uphold and highlight our sustainability efforts 
  • You’ll serve as a brand ambassador for Another Tomorrow, occasionally speaking externally on behalf of our programming, policies, values and standards through various media channels
  • You will oversee our philanthropic programs and lead advocacy efforts on behalf of AT,  designing and implementing petitions, campaigns and collaborations with other like-minded organizations
  • You’ll regularly gather data and report results  of our sustainability, equity and social justice initiatives; developing a framework to measure and report on AT impact goals and metrics, regularly proposing and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • You will partner with our COO to lead B Corp goal setting and recertification process
  • You will manage our annual GHG emissions and 1 % for the planet reporting
  • Identify and manage an external consultancy to set and submit Science Based Targets for approval via SBTi

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum a of 8 years experience in a similar role for an apparel or adjacent industry brand
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced,  start-up environment  
  • Deep knowledge of apparel supply chains, industry challenges and best practices
  • Experience engaging with cross functional teams and proven experience motivating to results
  • Must possess strong planning, analysis, critical thinking and leadership skills
  • Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics and fibers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic modeling skills
  • Experience in luxury fashion and/or a B Corp strongly preferred

Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits including maternity leave, generous vacation policy and healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision).  The salary range for this role is $100 - $130K/year.
