MERCHANDISING & PLANNING INTERN

DÔEN IS SEEKING AN MERCHANDISING & PLANNING INTERN TO JOIN OUR TEAM ON A PART TIME BASIS IN VAN NUYS, CA

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 4 MONTH INTERNSHIP BEGINNING JANUARY 2023

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • PREPARATION AND BASIC ANALYSIS OF SALES AND INVENTORY REPORTS
  • MAINTAIN MASTER LIST OF BESTSELLERS
  • LIAISE WITH DESIGN TEAM TO MAINTAIN SEASONAL BUY SHEETS
  • PROVIDE BI-WEEKLY LINESHEET VS LINE PLAN ROLL UPS TO MERCH, DESIGN AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAMS
  • UPLOAD MERCHANDISING HIERARCHY AND OTHER PRODUCT ATTRIBUTES INTO ERP SYSTEM, ENSURE DATA ACCURACY
  • SUPPORT MERCHANDISING & PLANNING TEAM IN PREPARATION FOR KEY BUSINESS MEETINGS (ASSORTMENT PLANNING, LINE REVIEWS, FINANCIAL PLANNING, MARKETING CALENDAR PLANNING)
  • PARTNER WITH SITE MERCHANDISING AND CONTENT TEAMS TO ENSURE TOP INVESTMENTS PROMINENTLY FEATURED
  • ANALYZE SIZE SELLING AND PROVIDE OPTIMIZED SIZE BREAKS TO PRODUCTION TEAM FOR PURCHASE ORDERS
  • SUPPORT MERCHANT IN 3RD PARTY BUYING COMMUNICATION AND CREATION OF PURCHASE ORDERS IN ERP SYSTEM
  • CREATE TOP INVESTMENT DECKS FOR MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS TEAMS
  • MANAGE MERCHANDISING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT CALENDAR AND FLAG UPCOMING KEY MILESTONES TO TEAM ON A WEEKLY BASIS

 

COMPETENCIES

  • 0-1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A MERCHANDISING OR BUYING ROLE (INTERNSHIPS INCLUDED)
  • BACHELOR’S DEGREE REQUIRED
  • MUST BE PROFICIENT IN EXCEL WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF RETAIL MATH
  • STRONG ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND A NATURAL PENCHANT FOR NUMBERS
  • HIGHLY DETAIL ORIENTED
  • ABILITY AND NATURAL DRIVE TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT
  • STRONG, CLEAR, DIRECT, ARTICULATE COMMUNICATION
  • PASSION FOR PRODUCT AND TREND AWARENESS

COMPENSATION:

  • PART TIME (UP TO 29 HOURS PER WEEK)
  • $16.04 / HOUR
