POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Designer supports the Non-Apparel Design team through maintaining PLM, and executions of tech packs. They will assist in Product Development and Design process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for out of the box thinking combined with knowledge of real-world applications and be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
  • Maintain PLM for Design while managing workflow and ensuring seasonal deadlines.
  • Assist Design team with and execution of tech packs and sketching men's and women's accessories (bags, SLGs, hats, soft accessories).
  • Review & track samples for fit and construction & send approvals as necessary to maintain timeline.
  • Participate in departmental and cross-departmental meetings as appropriate.
  • Render sketches in colors and materials digitally.
  • Building and maintaining spec library and material library.
  • Prepares for sample reviews by setting up the showroom and digital presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability in meetings with taking notes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 1-2 years of Accessories Design experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field

Skills:
  • Experienced in Digital PLM Tech Packs (Knowledge of Centric a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Hard work ethic
  • Works well in a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organized
  • Eager to learn

Internal: Design, Merchandising, Product Development, and Supply teams

External: Material vendors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

DECISION MAKING: May be asked to do research or to source material samples for design concepts.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Ability to recognize trends, source trend-right materials, trims, and work creatively

ENVIRONMENT: Team oriented, creative environment. Ability to be flexible with hours and adapt to a deadline-focused calendar-based structure is a must.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
