Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer with Strong Luxury apparel & accessories background to support the womenswear Merchandising team. The successful candidate will maximize commercial opportunities for the Lauren brand and Lauren stores.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Provide weekly summary of key performance indicators, relating to sales, stock, profit, markdown and market insights.
* Maintain Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts at store level (WSSI)
* Give strategic inputs in store allocation, replenishments and managing apt inventory levels.
* Respond to stores on inventory availability queries and pricing queries.
* Provide analysis and summary of Markdown and Promotional activity.
* Do frequent store visits to gain understanding on customers and provide feedback on range performance.
* Responsible for ensuring that mark downs are on the system in line with the mark down calendar
* Assisting with in-store product training and collating material for product knowledge and styling guide.
* Interact with cross functional teams to improve seasonal performance and drive best practices
* Develop Seasonal Planning Forecasts for departments of responsibility, create in-depth post season analysis on quarterly basis.
* Investigate as to how the sale of a particular product or of the store can be increased

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Specific experience in fashion retail merchandising 1 to 3 years.
* Advanced planning and analytical skills, including computer skills (Specifically excel)
* Good judgement and decision-making skills
* Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
* Strong customer awareness and understanding
* Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
* Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
* Exceptionally organized, methodical and efficient.
* Time keeping & ability to meet stringent deadlines
