Overview: The Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for the Americas leads the communications and the public relations strategy of Tiffany Americas. The incumbent is responsible for increasing and elevating brand desirability throughout the Americas in collaboration with the zone president and the executive committee of the zone and in partnership with the global communications and public relations team. The role is in charge of creating and leading both strategic and tactical initiatives, prioritizing the needs based upon the brand direction related to media, influencers, client groups, product and campaigns.

This individual is a dynamic leader with strong communication skills, who is passionate about the Brand, understands luxury and is connected with media, press, top influencers, talent and media events. They must be aware of the competition and market trends and have key relationships with press and opinion leaders. This leader must lead The Americas in creativity to ensure that the zone is outstanding in all aspects of communications and public relations. S/he must be "in the know" of the communication and public relations context of all Americas markets with a special focus on NYC and key cities of the zone. They must ensure local market communication execution is aligned with the zone strategy, working with both with the NYC based communications and public relations teams and the market teams and local market resources.

The person will be leading a high-performance team specializing on Media, PR & Events in the Americas.

Key Accountabilities:

Brand Strategy Management
  • Originate, develop and lead robust communication strategies to maximize resources & market potential to align with global brand positioning.
  • Lead a strategic planning and execution of integrated interdisciplinary promotional efforts of communications, media, PR and events.
  • Skillfully conceptualize global brand strategy to effectively provide insight for market implementation.

Brand Local Execution Management
  • Translation of globally developed brand concepts for local execution when relevant.
  • Lead and manage the interdependencies between functions within the zone and foster the alignment within the functions.
  • Manage & evaluate the performance results with teams to deliver the best results .

Metrics and Measurement
  • Originate, develop and execute qualitative and quantitative market research leveraging local and global resources.
  • Lead in assessing and reporting competitive and cultural trends
  • Develop and lead strategies concerning identified trends, spearhead the projects on client initiatives.
  • Track trends, analyzing market research & studies, making recommendations, and developing comprehensive strategic actions based on data.
  • Create, understanding mind set of client and competition in order to keep the competitive advantage - acting on this insight.

Agency and Staff Management
  • Manage & direct Advertising, Media, Public Relations agencies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key press and opinion leaders in the Zone and identify opportunities for high visibility of brand and product stories in partnership with Global.
  • Oversee and optimize agency relationships and proactive pursuit of emerging media, such as top influencers and talent.

Relationship Management (Global and Market)
  • Responsible for making the case to global regarding the zone needs with influence and two-way dialogue to ensure there is a balance.
  • As touch points to ensure one brand voice - for brand message, product presentation and other key alignments .


Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functionality within communications and marketing specialties.
  • Luxury industry preferred experience in premium brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with passion, gravitas and credibility.
  • Broad business acumen.
  • Ability to benchmark luxury standards against own experience across the industry.
  • A deep and demonstrated understanding of luxury marketing likely to be gained via:
  • 10+ years in marketing at senior level within the luxury/ premium industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading a communications strategy though a period of change.
  • Evidence of strong networks and reputation in the communications and PR arena.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and development skills.
  • Ability to self-direct /work with ambiguity.
  • Degree or post graduate degree in marketing, communications, or other relevant discipline.


The hiring range for this position ranges from $ 240,000 - $300,000 . The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
