Job Details

The Production Coordinator will work closely with the Production Manager and Head of Product. They will assist with the management of seasonal RTW and Kids collections, ensuring the design integrity and critical path is maintained throughout.  Needle and Thread are looking for a dynamic, exceptionally organised and enthusiastic individual to join the growing Product Team.

 

Key Responsibilities, to include but not be limited to: 

 

Responsible for maintaining seasonal style data in cost sheets and on JOOR after Product Development Handover. This will also involve communicating any cancellations or changes in style details to the wider team.  

 

Upload all Needle and Thread Ecommerce seasonal orders and re-orders to JOOR, ensuring minimums, sizing concerns and costing updates are closely monitored.  

 

Upload and issue supplier POs for out of season re-orders ensuring required deliveries are clearly communicated and confirmed with the supply chain. Track orders throughout process and communicate progress to logistics and ecommerce teams for intake planning  

 

Work closely with Wholesale team to make sure seasonal sales orders are handed over and uploaded ahead of time and any latter cancellations clearly communicated and updated.  

 

Set up and issue all supplier POs for seasonal orders  and re-orders, ensuring all cost and sizing data is accurate.  

 

Work closely with Production and Product Development Managers on the set up and onboarding of any new suppliers, ensuring they are issued with all brand requirements, and each essential process within development and production is clearly outlined and recorded.  

 

Following the PD handover work closely with the Production Manager on all final cost negotiations and ensure all are accurately recorded and communicated to relevant teams.    

 

Work closely with the Design and Product Development teams to ensure all collection details are handed over and queries followed up during pre-production each season, and production is able to start as per the critical Path. Ensure all BOMs are correct and clearly communicated to the corresponding team or supplier ahead of deadlines.    

 

Attend all pre-production and fit meetings, representing the production team, to take detailed notes, follow up on queries and communicate critical production deadlines as necessary.  

 

Coordinate the seasonal label orders for all suppliers and territories ensuring stock levels are monitored and maintained to avoid delays.  

 

Organise regular production update calls with counter teams in India and additional suppliers ensuring supporting documentation is created and issued ahead of time, and updates are fed back to relevant teams and senior management.  

 

Continuously monitor seasonal critical path and highlight concerns and any potential delays to Production Manager.  

 

Create and maintain Shipping documents outlining all client orders by supplier for the Logistics manager, and attend shipping priority and planning meetings to assist Production Manager with updates to the wholesale, Ecommerce teams and wider business.  

 

Review and approve all production bulk standards, ensuring high quality standards are met, and highlight any concerns necessary to Production Manager.  

 

Assist Production Manager in the development and set up of new all packaging and labelling requirements keeping in mind business sustainability goals and current stock levels.  

 

Keep an up-to-date tracker of all liability fabric and discuss potential uses seasonally with Production Manager.  

 

Constantly consider sustainability goals for the business and department, highlighting any concerns or potential areas for development with Production and Senior Management.  

 

 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

 

 

 

  • Proven Experience in a similar role is essential.

 

 

  • Must have an excellent understanding of luxury garment construction, and experience working with embellished and embroidered garments made in India and/or China, is preferable but not essential.

 

 

  • Strong communication skills including excellent written English.

 

 

  • Highly organised with solution-oriented approach to work and acute attention to detail.

 

 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

 

  • Ability to multi-task and work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

  • Excellent numerical skills and advanced Excel skills are important.

 

 

  • Fully computer literate and proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Outlook/Mail.

 

 

  • Familiarity with JOOR sales order and style archive platform is preferable but not essential.
