Job Details
Our Milan-based lifestyle brand is seeking to fill the role of Store Planning & Design Coordinator with an individual trained in interior design and/or architecture.
The scope of this role includes pop-up shops, wholesale account shop-in-shops, La DoubleJ flagship store refinements, various other retail-related initiatives, and the La DoubleJ office design projects. This individual will manage all store and space projects from kick-off, through design, budgeting, scheduling, vendor communication, quality control, completion, and when projects are temporary, closing.
Candidates with experience balanced between creative skills and project management will be best-suited to the role, which reports directly and works along with the Homeware Design Director.
What you'll do:
• Manage the build-out and wind-down of shop-in-shop environments in specialty and wholesale store environments located in Europe, the U.S., the Middle East, and Asia
• Communicate with client partners, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in each project
• Manage the budget for each project, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are maintained
• Create and manage the schedule for each project
• Procure furniture and props as needed for each project
• Coordinate shipping of all furniture and props via the logistics team
• Specify colors and materials based on the LDJ retail guidelines
• Oversee stand-alone pop-ups and other temporary retail installations, start to finish
• Coordinate small scale initiatives and updates to the LDJ flagship store in Milan
• Supervise all design/architecture projects needed at the LDJ office and showroom
• Supervise and review styling projects for LDJ events
• Research of new materials and producers
What we're looking for:
• College-level degree in architecture or interior design
• 3-5 Years experience in a architecture studio, design office, or store planning department
• Knowledge of construction and manufacturing techniques
• Strong CAD skills
• Strong Adobe Suite skills (Photoshop, inDesign, Illustrator)
• Strong 3D and rendering skills is a plus
• Competent additional software skills (Keynote, Excel/Numbers, Word/Pages)
• Experience working on the execution of branded environments
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to lead complex and overlapping calendars
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills, concise and direct
• Highly collaborative team player
• Enthusiastic problem solver
• Calm under pressure
• Italian and English language fluency
