Visual Merchandiser

Reporting in to the Store Manager and co founders, the responsibilities of this role include the co-creation, execution and upkeep of all in store visual merchandising. Working with trade to execute VM to ensure the store is compelling, on brand and commercially focussed, alongside meeting the daily team deliverables, managing staff to uphold standards in VM, stock replenishment and stock room organisation and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

The rotation and refresh of all displays in store, on a rota basis.
Instigate timely changes of windows.
Instigate all internal VM changes driven by floor walk and trade info.
Participate and respond appropriately to trade info from weekly floor walks.
Liaise with creative dept to manage window and internal displays, graphics and install.
Work with external collaborators on installations of brand specific VM.
Ensure visual standards are upheld to exacting standards.
Ensure stock is replenished and the shop floor is fully stocked.
Ensure all clothing on shop floor is tagged and safe.
Ensure team maintain shop floor and clean and tidy daily without exception.
Implement best practises, ways of working, & procedures around VM and in-store standards, and train all staff in upkeep of these to ensure ongoing standards are met.
Manage the stock room organisation, efficiency and be responsible for replenishment of stock into the store.
Work closely with the warehouse team to manage stock replenishment.
Work closely directing sales staff in maintenance of shop floor during their day.
Ensure levels of cleanliness on the shop floor and manage the daily cleaning rota / check list.
Maintain all fixtures and fittings and manage the repair and install of any with external providers or workmen.
Skills & Requirements:

Prepared to work flexitime and out of hours for VM activities on an ad-lib basis including occasional weekend.
Be able to work autonomously and be self driven, organised with good time management skills – this is a sole role so your ability to drive this role is key.
Very focussed on attention to detail, standards of quality and have and eye on everything.
Very creative with an eye for styling both clothing and interiors, a creative flavour is key here.
Product orientated – a lover of what we sell at Goodhood.
Commercially minded with an understanding of the role of VM in trading and selling.
