The Team
Global Brand Communications drives strategies and executions to enhance brand and business reputation, maximize brand exposure through earned and organic channels, deliver global alignment of consumer-facing communications channels, and lead all associate facing communications and engagement tactics. Fitting within this group, Influence, Events & Earned Media focuses on the distribution of our brand and collection/product news across our owned and third party channels, including the development of earned media partnerships and platforms. The team seeks to enhance brand reputation, deepen consumer awareness of key attributes/activations/Hero Products, attract new consumers within our target groups, and trial innovative new storytelling techniques.

The Position
The Global Brand Communications Manager will help develop and implement integrated communication plans and is responsible for the management and execution of press activations across the globe of World of Hilfiger (WOH) to increase brand awareness, consideration and sales. Based in Amsterdam at the Tommy Hilfiger headquarters, this role reports into the Senior Director, Global Brand Communications World of Tommy.

Role is to be split equally between the activities of Global Brand Comms Manager and that of Leadership Support.

Global Brand Comms Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team in developing tailored integrated communications plans incl. press, influence, and advocacy for all EMEA markets, in close partnership with markets and/or agency network, where applicable
  • Point person for pre-determined markets and/or agencies to provide excellence ongoing service to all markets for all comms aspects
  • Proactively suggest new ways to gain visibility and credibility within the competitive set, in line with budgets and strategies
  • Assist with seasonal planning and media mailings in collaboration with the Senior Director, Global Communications Director
  • Pitch stories and products to relevant media, influencers/advocates/talent (particularly for markets which the Manager will be directly in charge of)
  • On-going monitoring and analysis of markets' coverage (on and offline) vs defined goals and KPIs
  • Disseminate directives and assets received from Global Headquarters to markets and agency network ensuring they receive all necessary tools and guidance in a timely manner
  • Works collaboratively with Brand Communications Team and cross-functional departments


Leadership Support Key Responsibilities
  • Day to day support on adhoc presentation requests
  • Exec reporting and updates
  • Interdepartmental processes and templates
  • Team Workshops
  • Supporting the team in communicating all PR initiatives with relevant markets
  • Agenda and manage presentation materials for weekly meetings, minutes, recaps
  • Maintenance of all Marketing/Communications distribution lists
  • Financial support on invoices, creation of PO's and payment status to suppliers and expense reports


The Ideal Candidate:
  • A completed University or similar degree in marketing/economics, engineering, statistics/mathematics, computer science or related fields
  • 3-5 years successful track record in integrated communications for Fashion, Luxury or FMCG brands. Agency experience a plus (Global or Regional experience preferred)
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a very matrixed and multi-layered environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver in a very fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
  • A detail-oriented, ROI and data-driven (desire to see efforts link to conversion/sales), and creative eye, combined with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent understanding of marketing analytics, digital tools and key performance indicators (Earned Media Value, engagement rate, etc.)
  • A strong can-do & entrepreneurial mentality; ability to deliver projects throughout the full project management life-cycle
  • Can travel frequently within Europe and US (NY) for events and meetings (50%)
  • An established network in Europe with key agencies and press/influencers
