TEXTILES DESIGN AREA - Soft Accessories Assistant Designer, Textiles.

JOB PURPOSE

The Soft Accessories Assistant Designer is responsible for creating interesting and creative products using Burberry's iconic heritage and attitude as a foundation. Creating luxury soft accessories by understanding woven and or print techniques and applying these to creative artworks. They need to have a good awareness of the luxury product standard. A creative and interesting modern artistic style that shows an understanding and relevance to fashion.

They also must be an organised and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.

RESPONSABILITIES

Creating varied and innovative artworks.

Creative research for artworks, concepts and products.

Good understanding of brands, luxury level detailing and current awareness of wider fashion market.

Working on comprehensive detailed launch packs to be sent directly to vendors.

Working Collaboratively with PD, Merchandising and Global Sourcing teams.

Providing clear precise production comments.

Adhere to the corporate calendars and critical path.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Solid knowledge of textile techniques and processes.

Strong personal interest in fashion, art and culture.

Strong concept, research and creative skills.

Confident proactive and independent worker.

Positive attitude to learning how to build the collection.

Great interpersonal skills to help build cross functional relationships.

Understand the Operational flexibility and urgency required when working in fashion.

Great organisational skills.

High level Adobe Skills.

Minimum 2 year's experience in the industry.
