HEAD OF PRODUCTION

By Malene Birger is looking for a hands-on, proactive, and experienced Head of Production to start 1st January 2023 or as soon as possible.

With your technical knowledge, organizational skills, and problem-solving mindset you will lead the production and supply chain to deliver each season in line with the strategy, lead times and financial requirements.

The ideal candidate is data driven and has a proactive attitude, and a desire to deliver exceptional results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing & monitoring the production process
• Overseeing supplier relationships to ensure all suppliers meet and maintain delivery, quality, and margin expectations
• Ensuring production is cost effective & margin/budget targets are met across the department each season
• Ongoing assessment of existing supplier base and sourcing of new suppliers, in consistency with brand strategy
• Ensuring that high CSR standards are met in close collaboration with our Head of CSR & Sustainability
• Optimizing & adjusting retroplannings
• Monitoring final-buy process; pre-bookings, surcharges, and left-over costs
• Managing bulk production from order placement to delivery including raw materials, trims, packaging, testing and QC
• Overseeing bulk shipping and imports, liaising with logistics, warehouse, finance, sales
• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control
• Supervising team & reviewing team performance
• Monitoring claim statistics and settling claim issues with suppliers
• Ensuring chemical restrictions are followed in production process

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a production management role
• Outstanding organizational and planning skills, balancing multiple, and often changing, priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Creative problem solver with an analytical and methodical approach to tasks
• Data driven
• Structured and tough negotiator
• Strong knowledge of manufacturers covering a broad selection of expertise
• Perfect understanding of product cycle and timelines
• Experience in managing people in an operational environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, able communicate effectively across departments
• Excellent attention to detail and product
• Works calmly under pressure
• Strong Excel knowledge
• Experience within a premium brand is a plus
