Senior Designer: Mens Wovens

Are you passionate about menswear design? Are you obsessed with vintage military, workwear, and sportswear? Are you driven to design and engineer the perfect closet staples? We're looking for highly qualified designers to join our Design Team!

Your day-to-day tasks

• Direct report to Associate Director of Wovens.
• Work with head of department to concept and develop Buck Mason Woven Collection.
• Conduct product, color, fit, and fabric research for seasonal concepts.
• Execute technical sketches and initial technical packages.
• Attend fittings and update all design and development information.
• Work with head of department to coordinate fabric and trim development.

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years menswear experience.
• Expert knowledge of woven categories.
• Expert knowledge of vintage military, workwear, and sportswear.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Expert knowledge of fabric development, garment construction, and fit.
• Strong knowledge of fabric and pattern development.
• Strong knowledge of garment wash and processing.
• Strong knowledge of market trends and creative direction.

Buck Mason designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear. Founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen, who were neighbors in Venice, California, they initially set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology, they took an architectural approach to product with the goal of making fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season. Much of their product is made in the USA, where you can often find Sasha and Erik on the factory floor.
