Job Role: Sustainability​ Intern (Feb 2023)

Reporting to: Head of Sustainability

Location: Head Office, West London

Workplace Type: On-site 

Contract type: Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week.

Note: This is a 6 months fixed-term contract, with the first intake being in Feb 2023

The Role: 

The successful candidate will provide support to the Head of Sustainability (HOS) to deliver our CSR strategy and agreed actions. The role requires cross functional collaboration, and engagement with external partners.

Job Responsibilities:

Supplier Compliance, traceability & transparency:​

  • Update and maintain internal trackers relating to SEDEX audits and memberships.
  • Maintain and update document library (digital and hard copy) relating to code of conduct and supplier manual
  • ​Assist HOS with data preparation for product team supplier trips.

Responsible Sourcing:

  • Maintain and update fabric trackers that are used for sustainable fabric roll ups.
  • Maintain and update the Better Cotton Initiative platform with required information.
  • Maintain and update the Leather working group platform with required information.
  • Conduct and cascade regular comp shops, benchmarking our sustainable actives against appropriate brands.
  • Attend relevant seminars, taking minutes and cascading accordingly.
  • Support the buying and garment team with process of obtaining and storing scope and transaction certificates.

Environmental footprint and Circularity:

  • Support with data collection for product life cycle assessments (LCA’s).
  • Assist HOS with admin support relating to management of our labelling and packaging (attending fortnightly meetings, chasing developments, updating costings).
  • Provide admin support to launch proposed repair and alterations service
  • Provide admin support to launch proposed pre-loved initiative.
  • Provide admin support for our rental partners  ​
  • Provide general support to the business as it begins its B-Corp application

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proficient in Excel and word You must be studying a fashion related course
  • ​Are passionate about sustainability and CSR 
  • ​Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. ​
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain accuracy in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • ​Team player
  • The ideal candidate will be well organised strategic and self motivated, proactive and brimming with energy and enthusiasm.
  • ​The ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a proactive, professional and positive attitude ​Have an interest in luxury fashion
