We are looking for another strong team player to join us on our journey in establishing SALONI as the choice for luxury everyday dressing, empowering women to experience the unabashed joy of living life in different hues.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the CEO, to deliver the sales plan and provide analysis and guidance to the team to merchandise the range and drive sell-through. This role will manage inhouse sales, as well as support wholesale and ecommerce teams. Commercially minded and proactive, the ideal candidate will also be creatively intuitive, with exceptional colour sense and appreciation for the garment and textile details within SALONI collections. They will strive to bridge the gap between Commercial and Creative by crystallizing the brand’s unique selling proposition through a robust range planning that makes sure the brand vision is coherently represented through all channels.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The role’s key responsibilities are Merchandising and Sales, working with both the inhouse teams and our international wholesales agents, to provide meticulous sales analysis with razor sharp, yet creatively-sensitive recommendations, and ensure the quick and efficient fulfilment of orders for all global customers.
This will include:
- Working closely with the CEO and Commercial team of the various channels to market; collating all relevant current and historical performance sales and market data, assessing trend and country requests.
- Track and analyse retail sales, and pull together seasonal range plans respecting the brand vision, productivity, margin, historical sales, international market feedback and market trends, while respecting both the brand vision and financial goals of the company. Identifying exclusive product for retail and key wholesale accounts.
- Working on seasonal pricing with the CEO. Own the ecommerce buy; building key marketing stories and mailers with the Communications team to support trading.
- Managing the Wholesale assistant and overseeing communication with Saloni Distributors and Agents as well as fully supporting UK and Direct Accounts.
- Responding to their queries and requests, acting with urgency to deliver results and ensure all independent accounts are served regularly including taking and placing orders with 100% accuracy.
- Supervising shipping of orders, management of the overall logistics effort required fulfil the sales order book, and general support to the sales team.
- Ensuring sales tools; contact lists/mapping for all existing customers and prospects are maintained and updated. Supervising the set-up of a new season collection in Zedonk and Joor, and using these systems for sales reporting and processing and checking all orders efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Overseeing market/showroom set up and sales, meeting buyers within the showroom/ through digital appointments presenting and selling the new collection.
CANDIDATE PROFILE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- The ideal candidate has a background in Women’s advanced contemporary RTW and expert knowledge of the market and its competitors.
- Motivated and enthusiastic, unafraid to take initiatives and risks, and takes on a creative approach when it comes to sales analysis, strategy and problem-solving. Autonomous self-starter, intuitive and proactive.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and an ability to establish and develop rapport with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- An important member of the management team, with involvement from collection concept to the customer.
- The candidate is result oriented and highly organized and always makes deadlines. Commercially astute, the ideal candidate is both creative and yet strategic, with exceptional attention to detail and strong inclination to problem solving.
- Strong level of IT technical skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe suit, Joor and Zedonc advantageous.
