Job Details
Senior RTW Designer
Lingua Franca is looking for a skilled and experienced designer to lead our Design Team. We are seeking a true creative who enjoys thinking outside the box and who is equipped to develop products across all categories as we grow our brand. Applicants must submit a portfolio in order to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Founder to develop product lines across categories including but not limited to Women’s, Men’s and Children’s RTW, home, and accessories.
- Research seasonal design concepts; collect trend/vintage research based on seasonal inspiration.
- Create and maintain seasonal development boards, digital decks, and product line plans.
- Lead design team and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Web & Marketing to build and improve workflows and ensure efficient execution of business needs
- Work closely with Development and Production team to ensure quality, cost, and brand objectives are met
- Build and adhere to development and production calendars to meet market and internal deadlines
- Oversee all aspects of product execution including factory communication, tech packs, and order management
- Manage all assets related to collection presentation including linesheets, lookbooks, and marketing materials
- Sustainability is at the core of our brand. Strong knowledge of sustainable production and cutting edge techniques are a must
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Fashion Design, with at least 2 years experience as Senior level designer w/ managerial responsibility.
- Excellent hand sketching and rendering skills preferably in digital programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience in fully fashioned knits preferred
- High taste level and organizational skills required
- Deep working knowledge of materials and trim
- Ability to manage tech packs across multiple product categories
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with the luxury market and trends.
- Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
