SCOPE

The  Product Developer will support the development of the collection from initial concept to final product.

S/he/they will report to the Head of Product Development with the below main tasks:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support with the development of the Coperni collections (x4 a year) creating Tech Pack for Proto, Sms and Production, with a focus on Jersey and Knitwear
  • Zedonk management; creating product costings at SKU level, BOMS, fabric and trim suppliers and all required product information
  • Receiving and Preparing samples for Fitting
  • Measuring and recording Proto and SMS samples measurements.
  • Fabric and Trim sourcing and development as required in the collection, and execute the efficient organisation of fabrics, trims and pattern dispatch according to the Development Critical Path
  • Evaluate samples to ensure previous comments have been followed correctly
  • Support during the fittings in taking measurements and constructing specifications.
  • Support with the communication to the suppliers and manufacturers on development projects.
  • Create Pos files (for fabrics and trims orders);
  • Launchmetrics; managing the samples movement for production (update the sample trackers);
  • Administrative and Logistic support: managing shipments of the collection during the selling periods, shipment documents, invoices etc.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 1-2 years of experience within a Development or Technical role within the premium contemporary fashion industry. Ideally a fashion house.
  • Solid understanding and a work track record of development cycles and critical paths is paramount.
  • Bi-lingual (French and English) necessary. Written and Spoken.
  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Fashion or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A good knowledge of garment construction methods, finishing and printing techniques and manufacturing sewing operations
  • A working knowledge of materials, technical fabrics and functional aspects of garments
  • Some experience of working with factories and an understanding of constraints and timescales is preferred
  • IT skills: MS Office mandatory, Adobe package – InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop mandatory

  • Proactive, dynamic interpersonal style, able to act between different departments in a diplomatic, non-confrontational manner.
