Intern - HR Retail

Job description

As of February 1 st 2022 we are looking for a passionate HR intern to join our HR team. You will become an important player in driving forward the development and delivery of smooth and efficient HR operations within the NL Retail market and provide high quality support and services to our store teams.You will work closely together with our HR Operations Specialist and HR manager and work from our beautiful Head Office in Amsterdam (at the Keizersgracht) with an amazing view on the canals. What will you do?

• You provide supportto managers and employees on a daily base on all HR processes and HR services relevant to the employee life cycle (such as onboarding, benefits, compensation, vacation, exit management, wellbeing, core data as well as travel etc.);
• You get the opportunity to come up with- and drive initiatives that improve overall candidate- & employee experience of the total recruitment life cycle and support with recruiting for talent;
• You will support with the roll-out of various ongoing HR projects (for example onboarding program, benefits, employee engagement survey, exit survey);
• You manage, resolve and track associates' queries and requests via our brand new global HR system Workday and the general HR inbox;
• You will support with the administrative tasks such as onboarding & off-boarding of employees as well as the monthly delivery of accurate payroll;
• You will deliver ad hoc and periodical people reporting & analytics requests to business leaders and transform raw data into compelling insights (if you're feeling comfortable enough, you might even get the chance to present to the MT team!);

What are we looking for?

• We are looking for a student who wishes to pursue a career in HR
• Self-starter able to work independently
• Good skills in MS Office (especially Excel & Powerpoint)
• Available per February 1st 2023, 5 days a week, for a period of minimum 5 months
• Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship
• You'll have excellent organisation skills and demonstrating the ability to multitask and prioritise own workload and being able to quickly adapt and work with pace
• You are fluent in Dutch (verbally and in writing)
• You'll be customer focused, demonstrating a passion to deliver a quality service on time, every time.
