Associate Account Executive/Planner (DTC and Wholesale)

We are seeking an LA based Associate Account Executive/Planner to manage and assist with focused Wholesale expansion (internationally and domestically), omni-channel Planning support, special project collaborations and pop-ups, and eventual China digital expansion. You’ll be joining a company that’s inclusive and celebrates multiple approaches and views as we believe diversity drives creativity and growth. This role is more versatile than a traditional Wholesale AE role, as the AAE will be responsible for wholesale and special project management within a Direct-to-Consumer environment; offering significant opportunity for learning and growth; but also requiring flexibility and openness to being a part of a unique and creative process from “market prep” through the shipping process and every area in-between.

Location: Van Nuys, CA - hybrid w/minimum 3 days onsite.

Non-Exempt, $31.25 per hour


Responsibilities
“Market prep” and Selling Season

  • Attending proto review and assisting with assortment building & asset creation Compiling wholesale line sheets & Visual Tools to send to partners Creating order templates and pricing templates and managing day to day communication of the information with partners. Managing virtual market calendar in addition to in person meeting calendar Attending virtual market meetings Cross-functional partnering with teams internally and communicating line/product changes and delivery information to Wholesale Partners Receiving and organizing purchase orders, and supporting with special requests including but not limited to exclusives and line additions Partnering with Merchandising to update product projections for wholesale partners Organizing delivery information and vendor details for production and operations Partnering with Operations/Customer Service Assistant to audit orders following system order entry Communicating official order confirmations and final product information to partners Partnering with Finance, Ops and Production to support financial reconciliation and wholesale AR tracking

Reporting, Recapping & Omni-Channel Planning Support

  • Partner with Ops team and Sales/Strategy consultant to complete market product and financial recaps. Wholesale data maintenance and pricing template/rollup creation Physical sample sale project management & related administrative support Merchandising & Planning Launch prep support Selling Reports: Update style selling and end of season selling reports for all major accounts, completing visual recaps for the team ahead of product milestones. Reviewing production reports, shipping reports and ETA reports with Operations and Production weekly, communicating updates or extension requests with partners. Supporting revenue reporting and forecasting periodically.

Sample Management:

  • Completing sample requests forms and communicating all sample requests with production/ops Managing/Coordinating sample shoot calendar in addition to sending samples to various partners and managing returns according to the calendar. Managing and completing sample requests for wholesale or special project marketing initiatives.

Pop-ups, Specialty Wholesale and Special Projects/Collaborations

  • Assisting with organization and communication of wholesale pop-ups internationally and domestically. Coordinating with internal teams (Operations, Coms/Marketing, Design and Merchandising) to execute various elements of the special projections, pop-ups or collaborations. Coordinating meetings with internal teams related to pop-ups or collaborations. Partnering with Merchandising to manage seasonal line sheets and visual tools for specialty wholesale accounts. Communicating product availability and providing imagery/assets for smaller wholesale accounts upon request. Meeting with specialty wholesale account to review product successes or challenges and integrating feedback into recaps

China Digital Expansion (Longer Term)

  • Assisting team Strategy Consultant with presentations and product knowledge for eventual digital partner in China Partnering with Operations team to support product info needed to provide to China Digital partner Supporting day to day communication with China digital partner Participating in meetings with China Digital partner & supporting/communicating recaps internally Updating weekly and monthly selling flashes and style selling recaps from China digital business Continued evolution of this role as the initiative evolves

 

 

General Qualifications/Skills

  • Passionate and energetic about the Brand, with the ability to manage the nitty gritty, while learning and growing with exposure to premier global and domestic wholesale partners. Intermediate/advanced excel skills supporting multi-channel planning rollups & analysis Prompt response time and efficient email correspondence internally and externally. Professional style in email correspondence and in person/virtual presentation; prepared to meet and correspond with top level department store partners domestically and internationally.  Cross-functional partnership skills: ability to partner with Merchandising, Operations, Production, Design, PR and Marketing (in addition to other team’s internally) in all areas related to wholesale development, pop-ups and collaborations. Ability to be flexible and out of the box in an evolving and exciting new role.
  • 1-2 years’ experience required in wholesale sales, planning support or retail sales, with exposure to wholesale sales; ideally in contemporary or emerging designer space. Experience in managing and updating selling reports and selling analysis Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word. Experience working with apparel system, or quick learner in systems generally Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to follow up Strong organization skills and attention to detail Strong customer service skills Creative thinker and business driver Be proactive and take initiative Energetic, confident, and adaptable personality Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to support the development of processes and identify procedural gaps Passionate about working for an inclusive, values driven brand
