Organic Basics is on the lookout for an experienced and talented Creative Director to develop an inspiring vision of our brand and translate it into a compelling and elevated system.

 

This new position requires that you take leadership in developing, implementing, and executing a strong, streamlined, and consistent creative direction on a journey to communicate what we do at Organic Basics and why we do it.

 

The Creative Director will lead and inspire a creative team in the development of visually compelling solutions that span across all platforms including e-commerce, email, media, and special projects.  The Creative Director will bring the brand vision to life – from digital to video to events – and enthusiastically tackle new and exciting challenges within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As our Creative Director, you will:

 

    Be responsible for development, implementation, and guardianship of the brand identity across all brand touchpoints, social media, campaigns, packaging, events and all editorial content Work strategically to drive brand awareness and deliver strong sales through market leading and innovative creative Partner across product, email, production, influencers, brand partnerships, CRM, social, PR & events, studio photography and UX design teams to ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to, and the creative expression is consistent in execution fitting the Organic Basics brand language Manage a team of designers and art directors and indirectly the broader team of photographers, stylists, productions, video editors, motion graphics, art workers and freelancers to produce campaigns and content for the brand Ideate and create brand partnership campaigns for special project launches that are cohesive with the partner’s brand identity while preserving a consistent look and feel for Organic Basics.
  • Generate ideas and designs for the creative output for Organic Basics for both online and offline usage. Including but not limited to; email, onsite promotions, social, campaigns, print, packaging, pop-ups, direct mail, digital media corporate presentations, IRL events, internal communication, and branding initiatives as briefed
  • Successfully manage the department’s output through planning, resource allocation, prioritization, and budgeting in order to ensure a timely delivery of all creative project
  • Provide management, leadership, inspiration, guidance, support, and direction for the Creative team. Encourage excellence, ambition, and team spirit Work hands on with the Production Team to approve all editorial, social, video, brand partnership shoots and supplied assets are delivered to the highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy and on time
  • Art direct and oversee all creative output ensuring our visuals are on-brand, diverse, intentional, and elevated.
  • Plan and concept seasonal campaigns’ strategy and brand moments in collaboration with the Art Director, present and pitch to multiple internal stakeholders, work collaboratively with channel owners to plan campaign asset deliverables and rollout to maximize KPIs Oversee creative direction on product design in partnership with designers to maintain brand cohesion and align on key concepts, trends, styles, colors and moods Develop and maintain relationships with photographers, film makers, creators, artists, talents, illustrators, and designers Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, consumer behavior, sustainability, design, film, art, media, and technology Create a world class creative team; consistently review and evaluate team, conducting yearly performance reviews and objective settings, identify needs for training and development, coaching and mentoring; Assess needs and conflicts within the department; Ensure team functions effectively to achieve Organic Basics business goals

 

The person we’re looking for has:

 

    7+ years of experience in directing photography, design and video within the e-commerce fashion space.  Extensive relevant experience in international fashion brands with a preference to sustainable and/or luxury brand You balance commercial viability with strong cultural relevancy. You understand trends, fashion and where the world is going. Experience within a digitally native brand with knowledge of e-commerce Knowledge and insights into creating visuals for digital and social executions, 360 campaigns, multi marketing channels, including paid and organic media Existing relationships with relevant photographers/directors/stylists Proven knowledge in digital and print, collateral, and event branding Excellent management experience of creative teams, recruitment, and mentoring Excellent verbal, visual and written communication, and presentation skills Highly proficient in design, typography, retouching, video, and motion a plus, using Adobe Suite You are good at building strong relationships, collaborating, and working productively in a team environment Demonstrated experience and interest recruiting, managing, mentoring, and inspiring a team of creative talent, including the ability to manage with clear expectations and constructive input Detail orientated and extremely well organized Positive, proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you identify problems and implement effective solutions, and take ownership of your work You are detail-oriented and extremely organized; strong project/process management and organizational skills with proven ability to see the big picture, be flexible in project execution, and work within timelines and deadlines Able to make things happen in a goal-oriented, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment Successful and hands-on track record of developing and implementing creative strategies that have consistently exceeded planned objective Motivated by making a change within fashion, the second most polluting industry in the world, and help create even more transparency in how the fashion industry works.

We believe in the importance of flat hierarchies, work-life balance, high focus on development, flexible schedules, and self-management.  We strive to balance between individual freedom and our strong community - one of our newest initiatives is our flexible framework, where everyone can decide to work from home on Wednesday and Thursday. On Fridays, we meet at the office for breakfast and hygge.

Since 2017, when Organic Basics got its first investors, the company has more than 20x’ed in revenue, and last year had a revenue of approximately 100 mDKK, largely through a large online community.
