Position Summary

Work within the Supply Chain training team that will be accountable for the training of Neiman Marcus distribution and fulfillment center associates. The position will support the Training Manager in the development and implementation of training strategies, plans and processes. The supervisor will be responsible for a team of coordinators and trainers to support the day to day new hire and flex training along with supporting the supply chain training transformation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Assist in the assessment of training programs in fulfillment and distribution centers
  • Identify future needs of training in Neiman Marcus facilities
  • Participate in the development of a consistent and comprehensive training program for new hire associates
  • Develop and implement new content for the ‘Train the Trainer' program
  • Work with human resources and Director of operations to identify training needs and develop new hire training schedules
  • Perform observations to ensure associates are following standard operating procedures
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on training program's effectiveness
  • Partner with leadership to assess trainer capabilities
  • Evaluate standard operating procedures (SOP's) and assist in developing plans to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Conduct daily team meeting
  • Work with training manager to develop training tools and content that promote efficient and effective knowledge transfer from Trainers to Trainees
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with leaders in human resources, operations and other support functions
  • Teach, coach and provide actionable feedback to build skills and drive development of training coordinators and trainers
  • Facilitating classroom training for all warehouse functions.
  • Assisting and supporting manager and director on special projects or reports as needed.
  • Monitoring and analyzing turnover in warehouse departments; recommending training or processing improvements to enhance associate retention.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Relative experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak in front of associate groups
  • Excellent problem solving and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be customer focused and able to adapt to changing priorities on short notice
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
