Analyst, Application Systems - SAP - 11215 Metro Pkwy

POSITION OBJECTIVE:



This position will serve as a liaison between various cross functional technology, support and business teams. It will provide some business system, project, and process techniques and direction commonly used within the technology organization.

This role participates in an array of different challenges both within teams as well as be expected to work independently, prioritizing multiple workstreams. It is for this that it requires a proven track record in communication, and EQ,

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares, present, and participates sometimes including information to various audiences including business partners, technology teams, senior leadership, and vendors.
• Partners with stakeholders to define succinct business and functional requirements for various sized initiatives from minor enhancements to large projects.
• Provides a level of oversight on projects from evaluation/inception to launch and postproduction support.
• Works with project/product sponsors to derive the high-level scope and benefit of an initiative.
• Partners with team members to estimate timelines and project budgets based on resources and effort.
• Creates and maintain a detailed project plan for all project activities.
• Prepares various project documents including the requirements document and corresponding functional specifications and seek stakeholder approvals as needed.
• Helps coordinate the vendor/application selection process when necessary.
• Tracks project activities and present status and other project communications to various audiences.
• Documents detailed cutover activities including implementation steps, training documentation, and post go-live application monitoring.
• Manages project review and closure activities.
• Reviews and resolves production and project related issues in partnership with business, product, and technology teams.
• Provides after-hours production support in rotation with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent
• Systems Analyst or Project Management experience required; 3+ years preferred
• 1 - 3 years of Technology Operations experience
• Exposure to SAP, Hyperion Systems
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in waterfall and agile methodologies
• Experience in building and updating project plans, Scrum
• Experience with capturing business processes and functional requirements using standard requirement & modeling techniques
