Position: Maintenance Mechanic Level II

Department: Engineering & Facilities

Purpose of Role:

This position will support the DC by performing maintenance work on the conveyor system, building and or related equipment, with a general understanding of Allen Brady PLC controls. Maintenance involves, but is not limited to the following trades: electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, welding/metal fabrication, painting and forklift repair. Position also involves equipment installation and repair, generation of reports, inventory of maintenance/facility parts.

  • Maintain conveyor system and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, repair and service facility equipment including the conveyor system, repair/replace sprockets, chains, pulleys, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics and belts.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability in electrical troubleshooting, check voltage, read basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, check/replace ballast and fuses.
  • Proficient in the use of all basic hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Maintain all areas of the building to ensure that DC operations are running smoothly at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The accomplished individual will possess...
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years industrial/commercial experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Strong communication skills, willing to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work different shifts as needed.
  • Must be able to stay on feet for majority of shift.
