Description
The Marketing Manager is responsible for producing, managing, and tracking designated workstreams across brand marketing. This individual is highly organized and efficient, a true specialist in marketing creative logistics, and asset management who balances the tactical needs of execution with strong communication skills. This is a highly pivotal role supporting the brand marketing team that will work with core teams, freelance creatives, and peers of Parks Project to ensure communication is delivered consistently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with and collaborating on community events and content partnerships with wholesale partners from a retail marketing perspective
- Provide project leadership through the development, implementation, and operationalization of creative projects
- Responsible for digital asset management, including asset upload, organization, distribution of content asset library
- Manage creative projects relating to content creation, brand campaigns, photoshoots, and point of sale for online and wholesale channels
- In partnership with the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, drive the brand forward with an eye for creative talent and the ability to source freelance partners as needed within marketing projects, including photography and art
- Partner with external studios for photoshoots while ensuring consistency and timeline is aligned as needed for product launches
- Effectively communicate, contribute and collaborate with internal and external teams
- Keep projects and campaigns on schedule and within scope and budget, work toward high efficiencies, and aim for seamless execution
- Ability to set expectations from the beginning of the project and when issues arise to find solutions without compromising quality, team morale, or budget
- Demonstrate a self-starter mentality motivated to contribute to a group of highly collaborative marketers
- As a brand marketing team member, support marketing events, social media, PR, and the Parks Project volunteer alliance community with a creative perspective, ideas, and insights
- Play a supporting role in the playbook planning process from seasonal kick-off to execution and develop lookback reports quarterly
- Assist the Content Producer with briefing and working with content creators
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- Experience managing people is a plus
- Experience working with content creators
- A seasoned ability to problem solve through project challenges
- The temperament of a leader: flexible, resilient, empathetic, and assertive
- Experience managing budgets and delivering on initiatives
- Experience working with creative partners, freelancers, or agencies
- Experience owning a project roadmap and timeline and managing workflow across multiple teams with clear communication
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Agency experience is a plus
Critical Competencies:
- Avid photographer or at the forefront of product photography process and innovation
- Understanding of the production process and seasonal photoshoot planning
- Ability to source 3rd party content – negotiate deals, communicate creative assets needs and deadlines
- Accountable and collaborative in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Outdoor enthusiast and/or park lover - a plus
