Job Title: Transportation Analyst

Job Location: Jacksonville, FL.

Primary Purpose: This position will provide support to the Transportation department with a focus on domestic North America activity including arranging loads, shipping, analysis, freight bill processing, metric reporting, and problem resolution. Should be able to apply basic knowledge of various transportation modes including Truckload, LTL, and Parcel in support of operational needs. Some exposure to pool distribution and international shipping modes such as sea freight and air is a plus!

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Transportation to...
  • Support and coordinate transportation booking and shipping for North America Region
  • Recommend Truckload, LTL, Pool carriers, and arrange transportation needs as assigned
  • Monitor shipments, coordinate pickups and deliveries as needed
  • Provide analytical reports for both domestic: transits, performance, volume, and cost analysis
  • Assist in the process to audit and code freight bills for payment.
  • Assist in with transportation bids; provide comparison analytics as bids are received
  • Aid in annual transportation budgeting process
  • Help identify cost savings opportunities


The accomplished individual will possess...
  • 2 or more years of Retail or Transportation experience preferred
  • Strong competence in Microsoft Office Suite - including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • SAP, WMS and TMS experience, while not mandatory, is desirable
  • Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills to include internal and external partners
  • Ability to work on an individual level as well as a team environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • College degree preferred


An outstanding professional will have...
  • Knowledge of domestic transportation - less than truckload, truckload, and parcel
  • Descartes PCS (pool) system experience, or comparable systems
  • Familiar with TMS systems
  • Some knowledge of import/export freight forwarding, including ocean and air freight transportation
