Primary Purpose:

The Studio Operations Manager oversees workflows, data management and resource planning for all Jacksonville studio production. They are responsible for maximizing aspects of people, process, and performance to achieve service excellence and deliver against seasonal volume fluctuations and shifting deadlines.

An ability to work independently and maintain open and constant channels of communication with a diverse set of stakeholders is vital to the success of this role.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in operations and production management to...

  • Anticipate business needs and identify patterns to ensure production schedules and resource plans are scaled and/or allocated appropriately. Proactively identify production bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Track and analyze studio productivity, operational, and talent budgets. Ensure accountability to plan.
  • Manage studio calendar and freelance bookings. Handle related vendor set-up, legal contracts, and invoice processing.
  • Brief studio team on priorities and monitor progress against production milestones.
  • Optimize studio set-up, workflows, and sample organization. Recommend solutions that meet the constraints of time, cost, and scope.
  • Facilitate change management within the studio and ensure alignment with cross-functional partners. Lead the training and testing of new systems and processes as part of the implementation plan.
  • Provide people management and support for direct and indirect reporting lines. Promote best practices and cultivate a studio culture engaged in broader creative and business objectives.
  • Leverage database reporting and summary capabilities to analyze, audit and inform progress against developing shot or sample management requirements.

  • 5 years' experience managing high-volume production operations
  • Experience using advanced Excel functions and formulas (pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate effectively
  • Experience managing and motivating teams
  • Quickbase, Airtable experience is a plus
  • Experience implementing data-driven methodology to inform processes and quality-controls a plus


Additional Requirements

Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds.

Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business. This position may require infrequent work select nights and weekends. Travel to New York 1 to 2 times per year.
