Accountant for Apparel Company

Accounting

• Generate monthly financial statements
• Maintain supporting schedules for assets and liabilities
• Reconcile accounts monthly
• Record revenue, COGS, and other journal entries
• Provide audit support
• Process payroll
• Manage sales tax and VAT
• Perform other accounting and analytical tasks

Analysis

• Review royalty reports
• Analyze sales (wholesale, retail)
  • Flash sales reports
  • Sell through rates
  • Cancellations/returns/discounts
• Prepare gross margin & profitability analyses
• Perform other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with accounting software, NetSuite preferred
• Self-motivator
• Ability to work well with others
