As a member of the Global Assortment Planning team within the Supply Chain organization, the MBA Intern is responsible for driving assortment innovation to maximize sales and productivity. The MBA Intern will have the opportunity to lead and drive innovative projects that will support the team in reaching established goals on sales, turn and space productivity. The intern will use predictive analytics and store typologies to set dynamic and localized assortments across the retail network.

Dates: This position will begin on June 5th and end on August 11th. Candidates should be available to work for the entire 10-week program.

Location: This position is based out of our New York City corporate office.

Salary: The hiring range for this position is from $35.00-$50.00 per hour, working a total of 40 hours per week. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.

Project Management

Example Projects:
  • Create innovative dashboards to measure KPIs across sales, assortment turn, inventory fulfillment and space productivity. Evaluate success measures for current strategies and make recommendations for future evolution.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of assortments across major markets/cities to ensure strong and distinctive representation of the brand when multiple stores in close proximity. Evaluate in comparison to local competition.
  • Identify strategic assortment and localization opportunities for high potential markets (ex. Middle East, Latin America) in context to the broader zone network strategy and commercial feedback.

Global Channel Planning
  • Gain exposure to other areas within Channel Planning including Inventory Planning and Merchandise Process Improvement.
  • Participate in strategic projects requiring problem solving and analysis to propose new opportunities to accelerate business performance.

Required Qualifications:
  • College degree and in pursuit of MBA degree
  • 2+ years of business experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively and ability to lead in a team environment
  • Strong decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and core planning apps
