Job Details
We are looking for a highly experienced Studio Manager to become a full-time member of our creative team in our Budapest Studio and oversee the full running of physical, digital and remote working of our design department.
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual, who is confident in managing senior-level employees, communicating with all levels of the business and good at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Previous Design management experience is essential, and a Fashion management background is appreciated.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for creating a synchronised way of working within the design teams concerning boards, meeting preparations, and meetings with the Design Lead across all product categories;
- Responsible for Operational Supervision of in-house, freelance and part-time designers
- Follow product and design strategy, participate in Range and SMS reviews
- Coordinate team information to be shared with Design, Collection Director and related departments during the design phase.
- Implementation of new systems and organisational tools
- Liaison with management and external studio suppliers
- Responsible for Design Team’s adherence to Critical Path
- Keep the Garment Archive and Track the archive budget
- Responsible for Studio Tools purchase and budget
- Tracking of studio-wide payments via credit card
- Complete reports for Collection Director
- Perform regular 1/1s and appraisals in line with company policy. Develop individuals to realise their potential and promote the company leadership model.
- Maintain a high standard of technical skills, creative ability and team development within the studio
- HR tracking for sickness/holiday/days in lieu/birthdays
- Onboarding of new starters/leavers
- Coordinate travel for the Design Lead and for the rest of the Team if necessary
Person Specification:
- 3 to 4 years of managerial experience, preferably within the fashion industry at adjacent brands, or equivalent background
- Thorough understanding of company objectives and design philosophy
- Highly organised with the ability to delegate and coordinate tasks across all product categories and seasons
- Great at planning, and adhering to timelines and business targets
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Detail and solution-oriented
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Adobe
- A proactive approach to work, flexible with tasks based on the needs of the business
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
- Willingness to relocate to Budapest
