Head of Planning - Maternity Cover

Acne Studios is looking for a Head of Planning for a 1-year contract to cover a maternity leave. The main mission is to lead & co-ordinate the day-to-day output of the global planning team, ensuring all product opportunities are maximised, stock/ inventory is optimised, with a focus on full price sales.

The role

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the HQ planning team. You will be in charge of developing team competence through ongoing coaching and performance related development plans. You will act as a role model steering the team to be agile and open minded, resolving challenges as they come.

Main responsibilities: 

• Oversee global allocation & sales replenishment for retail & digital channels
• Define global OTB budgets for seasonal buying
• Close collaboration with Buying dept through order placement and trading in season
• Sign off the seasonal buying and order placement
• Ensure team deliver the best ST% result, maximising full price sales
• Approving in-season repeats to optimise sales and stock
• Creation of seasonal Mark Down offer and strategy
• Strong collaboration with Business Controlling to review and update sales targets
• Collaborate with Production on NOS items, ensuring right levels and timely delivery plan
• Liaise with Merchandising to ensure future strategies are well considered and for deep collection analysis
• Responsible for end-to-end strategy for off price stock: allocation and discounts
• Working with +50 global retail stores across EMEA, US and ASIA
• Present sales and stock reports with the wider business; weekly, monthly & seasonal frequency

You:

To be successful in this role we believe that you have: 

• Minimum +5 years planning or merchandising experience within fashion retail
• Strong understanding of the international fashion market
• Competence working with RTW and accessories
• Strong competence of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
• Solution oriented & highly collaborative across departments
• Comfortable with problem solving and always having an agile and open mind
• Able to take qualitative insights and transform into strategies & actions
• Excellent team leader, able to always support your team with positive and creative solutions
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
