Solutions Architect WMS

The Solution Architect WMS is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and actively participating in system projects and solution support for applications used within the Scotch & Soda Warehouses in The Netherlands and Hong Kong. The primary focus is on our Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System , but also on other existing DC applications, such as Carrier integration systems and RFID systems. The successful candidate is an expert with Warehouse Management Systems resource and familiar with distribution centre processes and how they translate into IT applications. The individual will work with multiple departments to identify areas for process and or system improvement.

What will you do?

• Work with internal and external teams to manage and prioritise issues lists. Gather required information related to the requests, troubleshoot to determine root cause, and provide solutions to end users. Where necessary, replicate issues in non-production environment and escalate to appropriate IT departments, both internal and external.
• Assist with regional business process design and configuration of WMS or related DC Systems Applications.
• Review and consult on business processes, design problems, and make recommendations for process improvement.
• Facilitate the process of and assist with configuring, building, or enhancing DC Systems to support internal business functions.
• Act as point of escalation for production system issues. Work with internal and external resources to quickly triage and resolve severity 1 or 2 issues. Handle communication and status updates to impacted parties and management.
• Develop and maintain expertise on system functional flow at the Distribution Centre.
• Assist with business process design , functional design and configuration of the WMS and or related Distribution Centre related applications.
• Be responsible for documentation (baseline and target) of the business and application layers within the DC.

Our ideal candidate:

• A (senior) IT professional with Warehouse Management Systems and processes experience
• An excellent collaborator with proven track record of navigating through complex organizations and complex IT landscapes
• Energetic, enthusiastic and a good listener
• Experienced, professional and inquisitive
• Experience with agile workflows and methodologies
• 5+ years of experience in Distribution Centre applications and processes, preferably with Manhattan Active WMS
• Excellent decision-making skills, used for prioritisation of reported incidents.
• Strong analytical skills, used to interpret business requests into solution designs
• Team management experience
