The Merchandiser for International Markets will have oversight of Outlet product assortment mix and distribution in APAC/LatAm, for NA Womens, Girls & ACC lines.

Merchandiser will focus on outlet channels of business - across 9 partners - to ensure IM specific product needs are incorporated into each seasons development.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Asia Pacific & Latin America Int'l Teams to determine product necessary to implement regional strategies;
    • Validate product requests against overarching business direction
    • Market specific range planning; Summarize all IM product needs & assess voids in main line collections
    • Spearhead development of IM exclusive product needs; Brief cross-functional teams to cultivate product from development to order placement
    • Ensure product requests are poised to drive volume and meet costing expectations. Present to cross-functional teams in seasonal meetings with executive committees
    • Maintain excel and visual line lists for all exclusive product
  • Present seasonal collections to IM to create understanding on strategy and product level
  • Align with divisional Licensing merchants to share NA and EU product offerings - for alignment on Int'l Market facing messaging
  • Participate in relevant milestone meetings throughout seasonal calendar cycle as the voice for all markets, ensuring IM is taken into consideration with decision making that impacts global distribution
  • Analyze historical data and feedback from the International Markets to best service each regions needs
  • Projection Planning: analyze & deliver market specific projections to Supply Teams outlining IM Core & Category plans to ensure IM volume is accounted for
  • Standardize reporting across IM to analyze best/ worst sellers across all countries and share information internally
  • Deliver in-season support & visibility to IM (market tools): Visulon boards, assortment plans, buy cadence and calendar
  • Facilitate order placement for IM end to end; Determine IM product assortment, creation of Universal Buy Sheet, share to IM, aggregate final orders, pass to Production Operations - troubleshoot throughout
  • Communicate & maintain product change memos and order updates to IM
  • Keep abreast of competitive environment/trends in respective categories
  • Liaise with Product licensees as necessary to fulfill IM product voids
  • Partner with IM to service regional Off price accounts; Range plan through product development


Qualifications:
  • College degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in Merchandising, Sales, Brand Management, or Planning with international exposure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Highly organized & possess excellent analytical acumen
  • Articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of international cultures & retail landscapes
  • Understanding of product development and production process, including basic garment fabrication/construction
  • Multiple languages a plus, preferably Spanish speaking
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to successfully navigate in such an environment
  • Advanced computer skills - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe. Must learn internal systems, both current and future (SAP, 7th Online)

  • Continually evaluate methods/ procedures of Int'l buying and sales
  • Digitally savvy; explore internal & external digital tools beneficial to IM
  • Ability to find answers through alternate means when not provided directly
  • Highly collaborative, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
  • Working with multiple time zones (evening calls/email to catch APAC time zones)
  • Potential weekend work during market periods

Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000
