We are looking for a Head of Production to join the Brand, Creative & Social Team at Dr. Barbara Sturm. The role of Head of Production includes working directly with the Creative Director & Senior Vice President of Brand, and the Head of Creative on ensuring the Dr. Sturm vision comes-to fruition through project management, team management, overseeing budgets, high-and-low level shoot production, digital media management, photo/videography and more. The Head of Production will also oversee all management and asset creation by managing a team of Producer, Senior Video Editor, Senior Creative and Content Creator, as well as external content creators’ schedules and outsourcing new talent. The ideal candidate should be extremely organized, experience in leading and managing a team, creative and efficient at juggling a multiple of tasks at one go in a fast-paced environment, with a talent for networking and relationship building.


  • Work closely with the Creative Director & Senior Vice President of Brand, and Head of Creative to action creative strategies and lead the projects to final execution
  • Work with the Creative Director & Senior Vice President of Brand and Head of Creative on campaign launches and brand activations. Funnelling relevant projects and action-points through production team
  • Brief collaborators/agencies and ensure logistics/agendas are in place for all shoots, including the management of usage and contracts.
  • Lead a small team of employees, creators, videographers, and photographers to produce consistently excellent work.
  • Support the Creative Director & Senior Vice President of Brand and Head of Creative on brand photoshoots by managing briefs, reviewing budgets, location scouting, talent casting, timelines and schedule management and post-production edits.
  • Support the Brand Education team by ensuring content is created to aid Dr. Sturm’s passion to educate for our social channels, retailers and direct to consumer
  • Ensure that the content created is valuable and utilized by all brand platforms and mediums.
  • Build a strong network and relationship with creators across photography, videography, animation, and creative spaces
  • Propose innovative content and out of the box concepts for campaign launches, suggesting new creatives content creators and industry leaders to work when suitable
  • Lead the production of all TikTok and YouTube-first content; working closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure all briefs are optimized for brand platforms
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Head of Customer Services to understand the Dr. Barbara Sturm customer, and wider beauty community, to inform your content calendar and engage our community across our social channels
  • Keep your ear to the ground on emerging social and content trends and their platform evolution, ensuring opportunities are highlighted to relevant stakeholders within the wider marketing team and implemented when appropriate


  • Certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Experienced managing a team internally and a production team on set.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Remain up to date on the latest creative trends, upcoming creators, and new casting talent
  • Digital native- must have the ability to understand content role for specific social platforms (i.e. IG Instagram as well as TikTok)
  • Experienced and highly skilled in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and efficient with both personal and external time management
  • Knowledge of Adobe video editing software
  • Experience in content creation with a creative flair and eye for luxury aesthetic
  • Interest in the luxury beauty & fashion, and up to date with trends within the industry
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and understand of using social media and ecommerce analytics tools i.e., Dash Hudson/Social Bakers/Sprout Social/Google Analytics would be a plus.
