The Retail Director is responsible for the design and implementation of the national sales strategy and customer development in Mexico. The role of the Retail Director is to lead and develop their sales and support team while maximizing market and territory potential and achieving sales, profitability and service goals.

You need to understand luxury implementation and serve as a passionate participant in shaping the company's future and brand experience, while creating a dynamic organization that enthusiastically and professionally sells a product and builds relationships with consumers.

Strategy
  • Analyze and evaluate changing demographics and customer desires in order to identify future growth opportunities in the market.
  • Provide a truly innovative approach to the current business strategy to develop a fully integrated multi-channel business in the region.
  • Formulate and implement a strategy to ensure the appropriate mix of product is represented and sold within the region.

Sales
  • Achieve sales and profitability goals: Create and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans - forecast accurately.
  • Keep controlled expenses in conjunction with finances.
  • Manage sales growth, operations and customer development for each channel through direct reporting.
  • Drive the business through the key pillars of the product.
  • Drive customer development activities among individual team members to cultivate new and existing customers in partnership with Marketing.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership, playing an active role in major malls and cities and managing the best customer relationships.
  • Ensure that Tiffany's customer experience expectations are being met at all times.
  • Take action on TEI performance and customer feedback to improve customer service.

Operational excellence
  • Ensure exceptional operational support to drive sales and service.
  • Manage an efficient position and ensure consistency with established operating procedures. Identify and execute efficiencies and best practices in partnership with Finance and Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures.

Lead and develop the sales team:
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings with the entire Market to review activity levels, opportunities, forecasts and other initiatives and Business Sales updates.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one reviews with store managers.
  • Carry out individual quarterly and annual reviews with direct reports using the Performance Management Document.
  • In partnership with Human Resources, manage employees with performance or conduct problems and meeting with the employee as needed. Interview, recruiting and ongoing training of knowledge, skills and products to retail positions.
  • Spend a minimum of two days per quarter in each territory training Store Managers by attending customer meetings, prospect meetings, etc.
  • Ensure that the sales team uses tools and technology effectively and consistently.
  • Motivate and recognize achievement within the Market.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal team, regional and company headquarters, as well as key clients through strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on, market-oriented approach.
  • Develop and train the management team.
  • Manage and motivate the team to consistently achieve or exceed the monthly, quarterly and annual sales plan.
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to develop and execute a Talent Action Plan.
  • Continue to coach, train, and provide qualitative feedback, using rewards and recognition, as well as a performance management process to improve team engagement and performance.

Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in sales, development and execution of sales strategies, customer development, creation of public relations, contribution to business growth, personnel management.
  • Knowledge and experience of luxury/consumer products including jewelry, garments, accessories or cosmetics operating within a multi-channel environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and inspiring retail teams to maximize sales, operational efficiencies and bottom line profits.
  • Leader with the ability to evaluate, attract and develop talent.
  • Customer focused, with the ability to drive a unique and consistent shopping experience for customers in all stores.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Advanced English language.
