Primary Purpose: Tapestry's 2025 Corporate Responsibility strategy, The Fabric of Change, unites teams across our businesses to meet our 2025 Corporate Responsibility Goals and a shared objective: to create a modern luxury company of the future that balances fashion authority with meaningful, positive change. The Coordinator, Product Responsibility & Packaging will support Tapestry's development of a global packaging roadmap to meet Tapestry's 2025 target and external commitments, building cross-functional relationships to integrate environmental sustainability initiatives into business practices, and help coordinate related data and reporting requirements. The role will also support Tapestry's efforts around product sustainability, environmentally preferred materials strategy, and marketing claims substantiation.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in sustainability to...
  • Partner with key business units/leaders to develop strategy and adopt environmentally preferred materials and packaging, including the management and review of regulatory and voluntary environmental marketing claims substantiation across all brands with a focus on clear and substantiated claims.
  • Create materials to educate internal teams, streamline processes across global brands, and support internal procurement teams in following appropriate standards and certifications schemes, like the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), etc.
  • Assist with internal and external stakeholder engagement to support the maintenance of ESG programs and initiatives.
  • Research and benchmark external industry and global apparel trends and conduct competitive analysis in order to identify white space opportunities to make recommendations
  • Assisting in annual corporate reporting (i.e., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
  • Support internal teams on the adoption of more sustainable fibers and traceability initiatives
  • Support the tracking of updates on our 2025 Goals and team project plans.

  • Excellent grasp of environmental and climate-related concepts and issues, including energy and climate strategies and best practices, science-based targets and other emerging trends and concepts.
  • A willingness to learn and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • An ability to be organized and detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with local and off-shore teams.
  • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential company materials.
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently with direction as well as on a team
  • Direct experience with packaging materials or innovations and/or recycling schemes preferred

An outstanding professional will have...

  • At least one year of experience in Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility, ESG, Business and/or Supply Chain management.
  • A B.A./B.S. in a relevant field; Advanced degree not required, but a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, etc.). Data management and data visualization a plus Creative and analytical problem-solving skills, able to formulate a point-of-view without perfect data
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills; clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including ability to synthesize data and information and offer recommendations/solutions.
