Summary /Primary Purpose: The Sales Associate contributes to achieving store goals in sales, productivity, and service by utilizing their outstanding selling skills, delivering service that meets or exceeds expectations.

 

The Sales Associate represents Malone Souliers to the consumer, acts as an ambassador of the brand, and ensures customer needs are consistently exceeded.

 

  1. SALES ABILITY/SKILLS:
  • Utilizes resources effectively to impact individual productivity. Takes ownership and accountability for individual productivity. Models sales behaviors taught in company Sales Training programmes. Understands how individual productivity impacts the store. Maintains high energy on the sales floor. Consistently achieves sales goals. Manages multiple customers simultaneously. Tailors approach to different customers by reading cues.

 

SERVICE ORIENTATION:

  • Able to handle and offer solutions to customer issues appropriately and involve a manager when necessary. Consistently anticipates and meets customers’ needs. Completes daily tasks without negatively impacting service. Services all customers according to the guidelines defined by the Store Manager. Engages customers in conversation and builds relationships. Maintains composure during difficult customer interactions. Maintains an energetic presence and displays a high level of enthusiasm on the sales floor.

 

SELF DEVELOPMENT:

  • Consistently asks for and is open to feedback from managers. Acts on feedback from managers to improve own performance or address development issues. Aware of own strengths and development needs and communicates them to manager. Seeks knowledge and information to improve individual performance. Adapts to constantly changing environment by changing own plan, schedules etc. Challenges self to continually meet new goals.

Additional Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in a retail service environment Education: High School diploma or equivalent Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, and basic computer skills Physical : Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff, maneuver sales floor, the ability to meet moderatestockroom lifting requirements, and store climbing requirements Schedule: Ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays
