Role Overview

The Director of Production will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle for Another Tomorrow’s sustainable, ready-to-wear product from initial development, sourcing and sketches through costing, bulk production and final delivery. Providing strategic vision alongside tactical support, the ideal candidate has a successful track record working within luxury fashion and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Working hand-in-hand with Product Development, Planning, Sustainability, and Design, this role reports to our COO and will partner with the Head of Italian Logistics. The Director of Production will drive the continuous optimization of the global supply chain network with focus on sustainability, cost efficiency, and quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the highest-level standards for the end-to-end execution and delivery of our sustainable luxury RTW collections.
  • Develop and nurture high-functioning relationships with our global network of supply chain partners to ensure healthy partnerships and ideal outcomes of quality, cost, and sustainability.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Head of Italian Logistics to oversee the sourcing, manufacturing and shipping processes in Europe.
  • Set and maintain the seasonal calendar across teams, holding stakeholders accountable adherence to all major milestones.
  • Own the WIP, production calendar and factory schedule to ensure on-time deliveries that meet quality standards.
  • Proactively manage the purchasing of long lead-time materials in partnership with product development.
  • Help to establish the PD/Production budgets and finance calendar, developing financial forecasts, managing spending and cross-checking invoices and proformas against PO’s and OC’s.
  • Manage, expand/improve our current vendor base globally via  ongoing assessments of current needs and future opportunities.
  • Own overall costing while developing a production strategy to meet gross margin targets.
  • Own internal communications for costing and  deliveries, identifying risks and proactively trouble-shooting to resolve concerns.
  • Actively participate in problem solving tactics, counter-sourcing, and partner negotiations to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Attend fittings, capture notes and manage all line changes, adds, and drops with accuracy and timeliness; updating tech packs and communicating to relevant partners. 
  • Prepare official line sheets for each collection.


What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a similar role for a high-end luxury brand
  • European Production experience a plus
  • Exposure to global supply chains with established relationships 
  • Excellent financial modeling and presentation skills 
  • Strong planning, cost analysis and margin knowledge
  • Solid understanding of garment construction and fabrics
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient with Apple, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, ERP/PLM experience
  • Speaks and/or understands Italian a plus

Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits including paid parental leave, generous vacation policy, healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision), 401K match, parental leave, commuter benefits, and clothing allowance.  The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience).
