Assistant Product Technician

JOB PURPOSE

To support the development and introduction of new products and production methods through teamwork with the Industrialisation team, developing SOP's for new production methods and standards to allow smooth transaction into Production allowing training to production line operators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Senior Production Technician, Industrialisation Product Technician and Sample Machinists to support SOP creation and refinement, along with visual standards, video SOPs, GSD element refinement
• To raise any safety or quality concerns observed during the course of work activities and to follow all safety procedures
• Support sample production and bulk production when the flow of new SOP's
• Be flexible in regard to duties and working hours to suit the business following reasonable requests by the Senior Production Technician (Potentially covering mixed/staggered shifts to complete SOP's on the nightshift, and occasional weekend work to support urgent sample delivery deadlines)
• Attend training courses/activities as required to enhance skills flexibility and knowledge

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Illustrator and Photo-Shop experience essential
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Advanced computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of a range of product construction methods
• Training experience desirable
• Production sewing experience
• Problem solving skills
• Teamwork
