JOB ROLE

The Homeware Product Developer role will manage the seasonal development and follow-through of finished Homeware goods. Working in line with the supply chain objectives: meeting quality standards, price points, delivery dates and sustainability goals. 

Responsible for all coordination and administration of the range, adhering to the homeware calendar, tracking all developments, and solving issues through to final product delivery.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the entire homeware product range including ceramics, quilts, and table linen - from sampling through to production.

•    Homeware overviews, range plans and any additional collection documents.
•    Working closely with the design team to create specs and tech packs for samples and final products, ensuring the smooth handover to manufacturers.
•    Scheduling sampling with manufacturers. Keeping a Homeware critical path - chasing and updating raw material and finished product ready dates.
•    Daily communication with the manufacturers, monitor the proto and sample progress, highlighting issues to the Textiles Director, and ensure the products are produced on time and per the design brief.
•    Active participation in prototype and sample reviews, and communication of amendments to suppliers. Keeping tech packs up to date with changes.
•    Raw material sourcing, obtaining all relevant information including: MOQs, price & lead times.
•    Issuing strike-offs, lab dips and placing sampling POs.
•    Private client meetings.
•    Organising and sending packages to suppliers.
•    Shipping, tracking and archiving of all relevant materials, prototypes, vintage references, samples, trials, swatches etc. Ensuring accurate records are kept. 
•    Photo document all samples at the end of the season.
•    Negotiating costs of raw materials and finished products, product costings and working on pricing with Sales team. 
•    Data entry using Zedonk system. 
•    Developing product labelling and packaging.
•    Working with Logistics team on best shipping methods. 
•    All relevant product testing, including wash tests. Ensuring products meet safety regulations. 


THE CANDIDATE

•    The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience working for lifestyle/interiors brands. Luxury or premium brand experience is desirable.
•    Excel/Word/PowerPoint 
•    Adobe creative suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. 
•    Experience working with private clients. 
•    Excellent verbal/written communication and time management skills 
•    Organised, self-motivated, solution-oriented with meticulous attention to detail.
•    Positive with a can-do attitude, ability to react to change.
