The Technology department is at the heart of this and the team aims to become the driving force in the organization for technology strategies & tools that enables the PVH+ plan. Through this plan, we will: Become more consumer-led, enabled through our unique 3-model commerce engine, lead with supply and logistics and digitize our product engine with 3D design practices. With this focus, we are transforming our way of working with our consumer front and center.

The department has embarked on a large Tech Transformation at a Global scale and we are looking for a transformative Technology leader to lead our new Commerce technology teams.

The Team

The newly created department is a merger between the Consumer-facing Technology teams consisting of eCommerce, Store, and MarkTech. These teams are operating in a product-focused mindset and highly collaborative with their business product leads. Together with your leadership team and in close collaboration with your business partners, you will oversee the Technologies of the following areas: eCommerce, Store, Retail (OMNI) Planning, and MarkTech.

The Position

The VP OmniChannel Technology will help position the newly created Commerce technology function within the larger Technology department, with a strong focus on enabling the PVH+ strategic plan. The VP of Unified Commerce is part of the EU Technology leadership team and will work closely with the different business stakeholders in Europe as well as Globally.

In this role you'll be responsible for: translating the business strategy to a Technology plan that not only enables us forward but also helps drive the resiliency of the core to support our growth, identify the talent strategy that fuels a diverse and high-performing team, further improve the ways of working in this highly agile dynamic and seek for efficiencies.

This role requires a seasoned technology delivery leader who solves complex business problems by leveraging technology; leading cross-functional teams implementing solutions and services across the different functional areas to enable a seamless commerce flow wherever the consumer shops and a deep understanding of modern software engineering employing enterprise agile product engineering principles, DevOps models and Agile/Scrum development methods for success.

The VP OmniChannel Technology will lead regional engineering teams as well as drive strategic vendor partnerships to deliver digital commerce technology and direct-to-consumer solutions for PVH Europe. You will establish strong partnerships with other functions including product management, business process, Global Functions, and other regional Technology functions to deliver business value through technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a visionary and strategic technology partner to the PVH European Leadership and make the Unified Commerce Technology priorities visible and embed it into our overall Technology strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and establish great rapport with other Technology teams, product managers, business partners, and cross-functional (Global) stakeholders to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Lead, Inspire, and influence to successfully empower your teams to enable them to execute the Unified Portfolio for the region, including initiatives that support the growth of existing lines of initiatives and expansion. This includes ensuring teams have the appropriate direction, leadership, and balance between short-term impact and long-term vision
  • Understand the business strategies of PVH brands, and partner with product management leads to define Unified Commerce technology roadmap(s) and set Technology direction regarding the strategic position of their area(s), including ensuring the required expertise in-house or external, to support it.
  • Work closely with other groups to coordinate strategies, priorities, and inter-dependent initiatives; coordination with the other Application Development groups, Architecture teams, Infrastructure groups (e.g., Ops, Network, Tech), Information Security/Audit areas, and business units regionally and globally.
  • Together with your Product Lead communicate with senior and executive stakeholders across PVH on key technology value drops - including business benefits, status, progress, and risks/dependencies.
  • Understand the potential use of new technologies in their area as driven by PVH initiatives, vendor capabilities, or industry best practices & trends, and inform peers as necessary.
  • Be accountable for the respective technology stacks and ensure appropriate technology is implemented in alignment with business needs.
  • Supports the development of a clear strategy for Inclusion & Diversity internally and externally towards our associates, partners, and supplier base, including policies and processes that drive the implementation of this strategy in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization and HR in particular
  • Create a high-performing Technology Function of direct and indirect reporting relationships. Ensures that these multi-disciplinary (scrum) teams work effectively with stakeholders across the organization to enable the development and implementation of our strategies. Coaching them on best-in-class development practices as well as a collaborative, learning mindset
  • Shape the organizational culture by promoting our values and leadership behaviors that result in an environment of inclusion, diversity, and Technology-driven.

You Bring:
  • Experience: an M.Sc. degree (preferred) with at least 12+ years of working experience within a fast-paced international business environment, with relevant experience in Digital and Brick&Mortar commerce channels (eCommerce, Social, Store, and MarkTech). 3+ years in the Fashion and Retail industry is preferred
  • Vision/Leadership: Excellence in setting an attractive yet ambitious vision and direction for your regional Technology function. You lead by example, exhibit PVH values and uphold an inclusive culture. Able to see the big picture and broad knowledge and perspective for your domain. Craftmanship to be able to communicate effectively through several layers of management and functions, and concise communication that enables your team with the information needed to make accurate & empowered decisions.

Ability to analyze and digest multiple variables while making timely decisions in the face of ambiguity.
  • Creative problem-solving: Looks to the broadest possible view of an issue or challenge; uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective tactics. Comes up with new ideas and approaches and looks beyond the obvious when developing solutions.
  • Technical acumen: Passion for Technology and the ability to apply, emerging trends and developments in the latest Technology trends relevant to the business objectives. You are familiar with composable architecture concepts and how they translate toward the implementation patterns. Evenly so important is your passion for the business and your approach to establishing a collaborative partnership where you act as the "CTO" of your business partners' domain.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Constantly changing environment requiring multitasking-ability to lead and communicate at all levels to achieve changing objectives. Travel to multiple European locations as necessary and flexibility to work across locations including flexibility to participate in meetings and electronic communication effectively.
