JOB PURPOSE

As the Senior Programme Manager, Corporate Responsibility, you will be driving exciting and forward-thinking projects across the full Corporate Responsibility agenda , ensuring that all aspects of each project are moving ahead at pace, on schedule and adhering to Burberry processes.

This role will ensure the best possible outcome for projects both strategically and creatively, by ensuring each phase is handled to best affect, with timings and milestones suitably protected at each stage of the process. Stakeholder management is a key part of this role - both in bringing together decision making for leadership, as well as raising risks and addressing challenges effectively.

This is a full time, permanent role and we're flexible as to where you are based. We have offices in London & Leeds and operate a hybrid working policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be driving and governing the holistic delivery of multiple interconnected corporate responsibility projects while collaborating closely with business functions including Supply Chain, Merchandising, IT/Digital and Strategy. This role works across a variety of verticals, including:
    • sustainable products and materials;
    • circular business model;
    • carbon;
    • and vendor due diligence
  • Ensuring alignment with cross functional initiatives including Value Chain excellence, critical path, traceability programmes etc
  • Capturing the deliverables and budget across all areas of the programme, in order to understand scope and bring together teams and decision making
  • Establishing, communicating and driving project milestones ,ensuring that all teams are clear on what is expected of them, when - and progressing as required.
  • Understanding and managing the delivery dependencies across multiple programmes
  • Working to protect the corporate responsibility teams' time and maintain focused, as well as being able to confidently present programme delivery in wider business meetings
  • Driving decision making with teams and senior leadership, moving initiatives forwards in a productive way
  • With your role spanning the Corporate Responsibility function as a whole, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills across disciplines, while operating at a level that promotes the accountability on others to progress projects autonomously

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Extensive experience in programme management roles, ideally gained from a similar industry (retail/luxury/FMCG etc)
  • Demonstrable experience leading and overseeing 360° projects end to end
  • Experience within a consultancy setting
  • First class interpersonal skills - especially within meeting management, facilitation, conducting presentations and written communications
  • Accountable for delivery of projects on time and on budget by leveraging multiple skill sets, so must be able to understand the needs of each team, then balance these to ensure delivery is running effectively
  • Pro-active and capable of driving the programme forwards in a positive way, with a hunger for inspiring change and implementing operational improvement
  • Proven examples of forming trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Capable of driving end to end processes and timings across multiple teams, to ensure the best result for the brand
  • Excellent at interrogating strategic briefs, rationalising complex information, providing clarity on dependencies to teams
  • Ability to facilitate decision making across a broad range of senior stakeholders
