JOB PURPOSE
This position is for a Senior Planning Analyst and will support all Global Rolling OTB activities within Burberry's central inventory planning organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Rolling OTB Management
• Responsible for consolidation of the Global Rolling OTB by Channel
• Responsible for preparing insightful analyses on Channel performance relative to plan and identifying risks to inventory targets
• Responsible for scenario analysis relating to the OTB, specifically modelling different growth rates across regions and potential rebalances.
• Responsible for coordinating the provision of tools/templates, on a consistent basis for all regions and divisions to scenario plan from and submit ancillary OTB documents
Global Markdown Management
• Accountable for driving the seasonal markdown review process including setting the appropriate calendar to ensure early visibility of potential risks to business
• Responsible for defining Central markdown and Delist guidance globally including inventory and discount guidance
• Working with central and regional teams to agree global markdown assortment with the aim to maximize clearing of inventory whilst balancing the need to protect full price sales and brand
• Consolidating regional markdown forecasts and working to highlight and minimize markdown revenue risks
• Responsible for implementing Markdown Edge Guidance on Discounting
Global Delist
• Responsible for maintaining the Global Delist files which provides an accurate view of product lifecycle for all mainline products and their exit routes
• Ensuring adherence by product divisions to communicated seasonal product lifecycles
• Highlighting issues related to stockpiling of inventory designated for Staff sale
• Publishing quarterly delist files to assist regions with existing end-of-life products from mainline stores
• Monitoring adherence to delist timings through issuance of Delisted store stock reports
Option Consolidation & Tracking
• Accountable for co-ordinating the submission of Option Planning Templates from Commercial Planning.
• Assessment of Option Plans into OTB, to assess Revenue per Option and productivity of assortments
• Responsible for tracking adherence to plans in market and post market.
Revenue Guidance
• Forecasting and setting plans for Revenue by Collection by Region, forming the basis of Collection OTB Guidance
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Demonstrated experience in a Merchandise planning role, preparing commercial analyses, supporting global Open to Buy management
- Inventory management experience essential
- Advanced level Excel
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with SAP would be advantageous
