JOB PURPOSE

To effectively & efficiently coordinate the procurement of Trims & Hardware (across all product categories in Ready to Wear) achieving and exceeding financial goals & functional quality standards, through the creation and maintenance of sound supplier relationships.

Participate in the negotiation, acquisition, planning & utilisation of Textiles, Leather Trims & Hardware whilst fulfilling cost & on time delivery targets

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build & establish collaborative partnerships with suppliers, ensuring effective procurement and query resolution, timely 2 way communications, feedback on performance, highlighting risk/opportunity mitigation/creation - in line with company policies
  • Implement the end to end workstream activities of the supplier base (including on boarding, negotiation, matrix & risk management, capacity management, performance & exit)
  • Drive & execute the Trim & Hardware consolidation & placement across the supplier base for RTW
  • Issue suppliers with vendor allocation and priority
  • Track & monitor timely Trims & Hardware procurement deliveries in line with allocation and priority
  • Coordinate the seasonal/annual review of excess, establishing reasons & suggesting improvement areas for mitigating risk
  • Review supplier performance management feedback & suggest appropriate response mechanism & action in accordance with guidance from Senior Manager
  • Action the excess management activity (destruct, donate, sell)
  • Negotiate lead times and costs


PERSONAL PROFILE

• Experience in Textile, Leather/Natural, Synthetics and/or Metal trims
• Knowledge of luxury industry
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong soft / inter- personal skills
• Technical degree in textile, chemistry or metallurgy related studies
• Negotiation skills
• Italian or Simplified Chinese spoken fluently desirable
• Advanced level of Excel
