Koraru is looking for an International Sales Manager to help grow the wholesale distribution across the brand’s key markets. We are looking for a critical leader a collaborative partner who is experienced in luxury retail fashion. One of the primary roles will be to increase Koran’s sales turnover by managing and building the client base with a view to long-term relationships founded on outstanding communication, products and services. The Sales Manager will work in close collaboration with brand executives to achieve business goals.  They will cultivate an active dialogue with buyers regarding the product, brand positioning and develop action-oriented proposals for both key markets. 

We would love to work with someone that has an entrepreneurial approach to their role, excellent communication skills that can give honest feedback and is proactive in coming up with strategies and solutions for the brand, as well as uncovering areas where we can improve and providing criticism where needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create the wholesale and retail sales strategies to achieve both short term and long term targets
  • Drive growth and profitability of wholesale channels on a global scale. Partner with brand executives to develop growth opportunities for the brand
  • Manage department stores, online clients and the specialty stores with a strategic mindset and proactive approach
  • Negotiate contracts, profitability agreements and payment terms
  • Build relationships with buyers and store teams with daily communication and visits (if possible): manage daily communication, coordinate markdowns, exchanges, etc.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and manage relevant marketing actions, including store events, trunk shows, product knowledge trainings etc.
  • Develop sales reports on top-selling styles, fabrics, SKUs and categories 
  • Providing guidance regarding sales strategy and contracts and ensure proper completion of all due processes
  • Analyse selling on a monthly, and seasonal basis in order to identify opportunities to drive business
  • Deliver monthly performance report to shareholders/executives
  • Help set up vendor portals and produce linesheets
  • Take ownership of the order inputting, order confirmations and preparation of the production order, maintaining constant and honest communications with brand executives
  • Plan seasonal budgets for assigned clients and develop a realistic and achievable strategy of prospecting targets, and convert them into ongoing clients
  • Put in place marketing plans for each client

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wholesale support roles with a luxury or relevant brand/business ( swim & resort preferred)
  • Relationships with Department Stores and Specialty Stores
  • Strong understanding of the Dept. Store/ Specialty Stores in the RTW & Resort markets
  • Experience developing strategic and financial plans. Proven track record in driving margin and sales growth, bringing in new business
  • Analytical skills: understanding of excel, retail math including mark-up, sell-through, OTB and gross margin
  • Knowledge of Joor, Nuorder and other vendor portals is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and data analysis skills in the retail space
  • Understanding of brand development within market
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work with creatives
  • Entrepreneurial - self-motivated, willing to be proactive to delivering results whilst being creative with strategies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or related field
