Production Manager

REPORTS TO:                              Merchandise and Operations Director

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Product creation and maintenance within ERP
• Purchase Order creation, issuing and maintenance
• Freight and logistics management
• Processing supplier and forwarder invoices
• Management of all supplier compliance including but not limited to certificates, cotton declarations, COOs, CI, PL, etc.
• Regular updates and reports on status of production, freight, ex-factory dates and into warehouse dates by style 
• Liaising with suppliers to ensure bulk production runs on-time
• Answering Supplier queries in a timely manner to ensure on-time deliveries
• Continuous feedback loop to development to ensure we improve processes, BOMs and communication to ensure smooth bulk production
• In conjunction with the head of sustainability, ensure agreed milestones are achieved by Suppliers and internal team
• Ensure care label art & barcodes shared with Suppliers by seasonal deadlines
• Give priority guidance to Suppliers to achieve bulk ex-factory dates
• Manage bulk fabric and trim approvals with the Design team and Creative Director by deadlines
• Monitor PPS status closely, conduct weekly reviews with each Supplier to ensure ex-factory dates are achieved
• Communicate PPS fits information to Patternmakers 1 week ahead to ensure fits are booked accordingly
• Manage local bulk production
• Ensure Suppliers comply with our requirements as set out in the Supplier Manual
• Occasionally perform duties outside of your specific function that contribute to the overall success of the business

POSITION FUNCTION:

The Production Manager function ensures bulk production is completed by ex-factory dates to our high standards, goods are shipped to ensure an on-time into warehouse date, at the best rate available.

Sustainability milestones are achieved and adhered to across our supply chain.

KPIs:

• Products are created in a timely manner and well maintained within our ERP system
• Purchase Orders are created and issued by seasonal deadlines and well maintained within our ERP system
• Freight and Logistics are managed to ensure an on-time delivery at the best rate available
• Supplier and forwarder invoices are entered and allocated in a timely manner so as to ensure on-time payment to all Vendors
• Suppliers are compliant to all requirements as set out in our Supplier Manual, including but not limited to certificates, cotton declarations, COOs, CI, PL, etc.
• A minimum of weekly updates communicated to key stakeholders on status of production, freight, ex-factory dates and into warehouse dates by style 
• Supplier queries are answered in a timely manner that ensures an on-time delivery of bulk production
• Continuously improving our processes and communication to ensure Suppliers have all the information they need to ensure an  on-time delivery of bulk production
• Sustainability targets are met by deadlines
• Care label art & barcodes shared with Suppliers by deadline each season
• Suppliers are aware of priorities in order to achieve bulk ex-factory dates
• Bulk fabric and trim approvals sent to Suppliers in a timely manner to ensure an on-time delivery of bulk  
• Weekly reviews by style are conducted with each Supplier to ensure an on-time delivery of bulk
• Patternmakers are aware of number of PPS to fit 1 week prior to receipt
• Local bulk production is completed by deadlines to our high standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience as a Production Manager highly desirable
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills; detail oriented
• Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build strong, productive relationships
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent understanding of product development and manufacturing process
• Technical understanding of garment construction
• Excellent computer skills especially spreadsheet analysis and reporting
