Merchandising / Site Merchandising Intern

FIGS is looking for an Merchandising/Site Merchandising Intern who is energetic, creative, and eager to learn about technical apparel, e-commerce, and customer behavior. This internship will be a rotation between Merchandising and Site Merchandising to understand the full product lifecycle. You will learn everything from product concepting, how products are created, designed & produced, to how they are presented on the FIGS website.

What you'll do:

Merchandising

• Learn and assist in end to end line planning. From design concept to launch on site
• Gain insight on how to analyze product performance & actions taken based on these learnings
• Assist in quarterly hindsight recapping + merch innovation briefs
• Attend cross functional meetings & fittings with design, product development & inventory planning
• Assist in competitive landscape analysis & patterning exercises

Site Merchandising

• Gain an understanding of Shopify basics and support end to end product setup, including SKU information, product categories, color swatches, images, copy, tagging, badging, etc.
• Learn the art and science of how to merchandise the website through a multitude of elements
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with the marketing and creative teams to get a better understanding of full e-commerce process
• Create decks with competitive research, customer data, patterning, etc. to guide a best in class site experience
• Gain experience in the e-commerce shoot process - including Production, Art Direction, styling by assisting on set where needed, including but not limited to samples, meals, select decks, etc.

About you:

• Pursuit of a college degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business or a related major
• Should be able to commit to 12 weeks of the internship and be able to work 20 hours per week
• A passion for online shopping and being able to put yourself in the shoes our customer
• A team player. Someone who has a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills.

Program details:

• Ability to commit to a 12 weeks internship program and work 20 hours per week
• Ability to commute to our Santa Monica office 3x a week
• Compensation for this position will be $16.00/hour
